dude. i think getting boots of travel is better IMO. and i think radiance works well too ! if u manage to farm early that is. meaning if u are able to farm well early. get a relic first then complete radiance followed by the items u would go. like Mkb then butterfly.

A bot save the trouble for a blink dagger with considerable good ms for catching and fleeing at the cost 2200 with,dagger waste a slot at 2150.Unless you are using for catching.Don't buy a blink just to escape because viper is a real killer not a Bait or timid hero.

there are like so many item builds for viper. i could go on forever.

5 branch 6 tango / 4 branch 4 tango 1 sapphire

--> bot + bracers / mekansm + bracers / necronomicon + bracers/ bkb + bracers

--> if necrobook build, continue maxing necrobook

--> direct damage items like mkb, burize, etc but i believe in realistic scenario mkb is the best damage item.

--> continue getting items base on what is best needed for the game.

as per always skill build is always orb stats , frenzy up only when you farm up your first prime damage item.

bot is always better den treads and mekansm is always better than vanguard .

morever, viper already has a 80 percent ias boost skill which is useless early game.

Boots(to BoT) +2x Band/Bracer(sell later)=>Mkb + BkB=> Heart=>Aegis/Rapier or in 6.43 onwards burize/butterfly/radiance

sure bkb is good, but necrobook viper has so much more indirect damage output its not even funny. too bad its seriously underused.

and in some particular scenarios, mekansm is better den bkb imo.

bkb too heavily used and depending on your playstyle, it might not be the best route also.

not saying its not good, but one shouldnt stick to 1 item strat.

Firstly, DO NOT GET MANA IMPROVEMENT ITEMS FOR VIPER. NECROBOOK, RING OF BALLIUS ETC ETC. If you just play conservatively, start poking 1-3 times at level 1-2 , level 3 -5 maybe another 10 or so times just to harass and lane control. YOU WILL HAVE ENOUGH MANA AND STOP THERE. Mostly, play viper in a solo lane, engage at level 6 if ur overleveled and level 7 if ur underleveled. As for twin lanes, EG + LoA ,+ THD ,+ ES. Try to farm up fast as they mostly play support and gain the level advantage once again.

Itemwise, Try to go for survival items/ Tanking items if ur in a EndGame team with tankers (* Eg RK QOP VIPER CHEN LOA) or if ur in a support game with a supporter in ur lane (*Eg Viper + Es or Viper + LoA) Get more on the damage side, MKB Bruiza. As you may already know, Viper does not need speed output unlike most other AGI heros as he already has the advantage in a 1:1 fight with his 40% slow + ViperStirke 80% so you most probally win a fist fight so try getting damage rather then atk speed. Though Hand of Midas dosen't sound too bad for early farming =)) ^^

viper strike + orb walk + 2 skeleton wacking + skeleton mana burn attack + skeleton mana burn skill + skeleton attack speed aura + movespeed aura is so pain ?
looks like there should be no room for argument now

also to point out that fast farmed necrobook can be used as harass scout and ganking power, which far exceeds 1 plain damage item. the choice is clearly superior

1st Item Build: No need for Basilus. Vanguard is optional. And why 2 boots? This build can't kill.

2nd Item Build: One vanguard (optional) is enough. Why 2 boots again?

3rd Item Build: Skip the blink dagger. Get BKB if you're against an army of stunners. The rest is OK but I don't really like Bfly now.

for me, its 90% bkb in matches. gay combis like rk veno, sk viper, vs lina sk. who are you to survive with a vanguard? 300 + 875 + 1100 = 2275. with an extra 1.6k you can get a bkb. the only reason why i vanguard is for the regeneration. i wont go back to fountain till i got my first level 4 items. kindof boring isnt it? pubs, either you pawn noobs, or you get pawn by noobs in your team. really boring.

OK LOL i've just re-read every post. "i used your build on pubs only" is meant for the thread starter. and you replied me, i thought your build is that, and i replied you back, now you reply me. WELLLLL ok first its my mistake for assuming im talking about you and you're not happy about it lol. but seriously its meant for the thread starter. my viper will never go for necrobook/mekasm. im sure 1 sk can handle your viper, unless you tp when he epic of course.

ok lol i dont want double post. firstly if your read properly what have i said so far is vanguard against bkb. and i said its shit in matches. i seriously dont know anything about viper using nec. but im sure the suvival rate is lesser of than a bkb. 2ndly the Mekansm against vanguard for soloer viper (assuming it doesnt heal teamates). if my maths is wrong in anyway tell me so. is it better for a 1k life viper with 3 reg + heal with extra armor better OR a already 1.3k life viper (look, is there any different between 1klife - 500 life + 250life and 1.3k -500?) with 65% block 30 damage better?

i know this is what we're discussing about, but i dont see any difference between heal 250 and + 250 life item. except for the team's healing of course. but imo, viper grind on lane very often until needed or is powerful enough to ****. of course i dont go both of them but if i were to choose vanguard or mek i will choose vanguard. maybe im noob, how about we try buying vanguard viper against mek viper and we try hitting both together, see which of them will survive better.

lol, for meka just heal and tp, for necro just burn him b4 he comes unless he ambushes you, but no sk should ko viper alone. and of course for your bkb, just bkb and tp.

meka and necrobook are like 2.4 k and 2.7 k respectively and be used for ganking purposes at earlier time intervals. bkb is well, ok it is good but a bit too gui? it can be easily countered also. survival rate low? it costs 2.7 and by the time u get ur bkb which is like 3.8k i can easily spend on 2 bracers, no?
the choice is clearly superior ?

ok about mek and vanguard comparison im sure mek > vanguard but in that particular 1 v 1 scenario negating the 250 hp boost from each side 7 armor should > or at least = block i guess, not to mention meka adds 5 stats and the fact that armor stacks already but block doesnt. hmm but this is assuming 1 v 1, i believe the statistics favour meka in team game?
hotkey 1 button = about 1.5k EHP for team over percentage damage block, well this is like jokes. vanguard is crap except for bb.
