The Singaproe national qualifiers of WCG along with the Asian Cyber Games concluded last weekend. Wind from wNv-Gaming.com managed to catch up with several representitives of the Warcraft players for a qualitative interview.
Here's a little excerpt to each of the interview he made:
Gosubay Interview (Singapore) - Top 8
So throughout the entire tournament, who was your toughest opponent?
- I didn't get to fight my toughest opponents since they got eliminated earlier. I would say it would be Nickt, since I lost to him during the nEbO prelims 1-2. But if you are refering to this tournament, it would be FLYSHOW, because I dropped one map against him.
Girlyluck was pretty easy though, I even used human against him in the finals.
Talking about nEbO, you mentioned that you wouldn't register in the national qualifiers after losing to Nickt. What made you choose to join eventually?
- I thought I had no spot because the registration spots were filled up very quickly, but luckily all top 3 finishers of nEbO were given a spot in the groupstage.
Given that you had pretty easy games throughout the tournament, are you very satisfied to win Singapore's WCG?
- Yes, I am not particular about such details; only the title matters. And I have to face a lot of undeads in GXL anyway.

mOOn-GLaDe Interview (Australia) - 3rd
This is your first time particpating in Asian WCG. What is your impression of the tournament?
I have been to Italy and San Franciso, but I feel that this is the best WCG I've ever been to so far.
Do you feel any pressure given that you are he only one representing Australia?
Yeah its a lot of pressure to represent my country. And there are not many opportunities and tournaments in Australia so I'd just try my best.
How did you practice for this event and what are your personal targets?
I practiced many weeks before this event; at least 4 hours a day with custom games with other Aussies. Well, my target was to give SoJu a run for his money (laughs).

SoJu Interview (Korea) - 1st
You haven't lost a single map throughout the entire tournament. Were your opponents really that easy?
- Most of them were very easy for me. However, I'd say that the strongest opponent I've met throughout the entire tournament was the Singapore representitive, Gosubay.
We met in WCG2005 and he wasnt as good. Now that we met again in the groupstages of Asia Cyber Games, I feel that he has really imrpoved a lot over the years.
Now that you won AWCG, what do you plan to do with your prize money?
- Like most other professional gamers, I'll give all of the prize money to my parents.
This should be your second time coming to Singapore. What do you like and not like about this country?
- Hmm.. I like the fresh air in this country. There are also lots of places to hang out and the whole city is very clean! But I don't really like the hot and humid weather here.
