I think it would be Nice if dota compy can be divided up into the amateur, intermediate, expert and professionals Compys.
Winners of amateur compy advances to intermediate class and stuffs, becoz of the difference in skill levels, we amateurs cant really learn much playing against pros...
This would be like in chess compys. But then how to define the different classes that would be hard lar... but nonetheless, at least amateurs wont feel like out of place playing against pros because we are still learning and get frustrated because we get owned outright.
