i believe u can do the following in order to get into a team.

firstly, go to any draftmatch- spammed channels and type

"! anyone nid last pls pm me."

secondly, show them what u've got and exchange msn contacts if they consider you as a strong player. from that onwards continue to keep in contact with these people. when they need a last player or what they can consider you

lastly, hopefully they will think that you are capable of entering their team.

or you could form team with people like you ! those who wants to play draftmatch yet dun have a team. form with these people and probably you will have your first ever competitive team.

surprisingly, most teams actually are formed from friends. i think

I am interested to play draft matches, however I do not have a team and public teams simply look down on people even before they started to play.

My nick is faded on IRC, wanna just play for fun.

Don't you think that the existing so called "pro" players are being harsh to some of the new players?
Their attitudes deter one from actually playing in a competitive environment.
Unless you know some of these competitive players in real life, its actually quite hard to get into their "circle".

yeah, just have a constant lancraft nick and play well, you'll get noticed and maybe called for draft matches and inhouse. from there you start to make friends yeah? all the best.

Don't play Mirc Zion, alot of noob leavers de. Game just start they leave for no reason. Worst still you play pro predict their nc movement and kill them they say u mh. =.=

I also looking for a team or clan to join. I solo very long le and skills can safely say above average, in fact the more i play in zion the more i wan quite dota. Always accuse me mh de...

Isn't that the same for almost every game?

lol, thats life la. you go mirc, you go bnet, you go zion, sure have one, you go lan play local with lan people also have! you cant run away from them. a looking-for a-team-thread turned into a whinning thread, i feel sad for the thread maker.
