after seeing all the discussion, i acutally dont get much of it. So they are saying that the psp slim is a reduced quality of the board but in return its more lighter and more fragile. The only extra function is the "plug into tv" function ?

What they mean is the protection metal plate is taken away. Without that plate thus making it ligther, but without it the enforcement is lost thus making it fragile when drop.

New one of cause, new is always good, although dun have the cage inside for extra protection, but I dun think anyone would drop his PSP. If wanna be more careful, when playing always wear the lanyard like I always does.

objection! new not always good!
the old one is better i feel... how heavy can the 'fat' psp be anyway?! Its not even half a kg (i think). Why need so light psp o_o at least the 'fat' one is stronger and more durable in that sense (if sth knock against it or u drop it). And besides, if you do not need the new feature (tv plugin or something?), why pay the extra money?
I dont know what you need. Just a penny of my thoughts.
