Wassup DotaSG!

Just to let you all in on a secret. DotaSG might be running a 5v5 Tournament really soon. Its been ages since we had 1. Now we want you to vote on how much the registration should be.

Please keep in mind that we need everyone's voting so that this poll is accurate. At the same time, though we do take this poll very seriously, there are chances that the selection with the highest votes might not be used due to other reasons.

Perhaps u may also need to indicate prize money, venue and how many rounds of playing. :)

yes. the prizes and money would be relative to the registration. but more registration we can speak to sponsors and partners to contribute more.

if its 75, u guys would be able to receive better cash prizes whereas if u guys selected 55 dollars , the price money wouldnt be as attractive. So do think abt it and decide on the poll. Thks

i guess only 2 types of people will vote for high registration fees, 1st type is those sure win or high chance of winning teams. 2nd type is people like me, vote as high as i can since i wont be taking part, see show nia.

hmm.. I think the last timei saw a compy with $75 registration was at e-games. They offer a S$11k worth of prizes and cash for a 100+ teams compy.. 1 team $75 registration fee, but its a single elimination right from the start.. so yea.. :P

Too bad, there are no such competitions anymore, not 1 single DotA competition that i have seen/participated is over 100 teams. :P

Well guys the prize format is flexible, doesnt mean its only worth to pay more if you are sure of winning the competition. There may have formats that spread the prize money for 4-8 teams, so more people can win something from the event. As yinsheng mentioned, more teams that decide for higher registration fees also means sponsors may be more willing to come up with more prizes as well to add into the pool.

i like tis format of compy. more fun. higher chance of getting past the rounds. lesser chance of meeting the powerhouses in the 1st few rds unless u realli dat suay. liddat $75 isnt wasted afterall. unlyk other compies where few teams = higher chance of meeting powerhouse which lyk waste ur money. mayb dotasg shd hold a compy liddat =P

but then again, maybe no poll is even needed actually. Im sure most people would still join even if they do not get their favoured reg fee.
