i don't think there are any guides here.

why not try dota-allstars.com or dotaportal.com. or you could be more specific about your heroes so the community can throw in their suggestions?

i'm no pro. but anyway -

For Lion
necromicon works if you can micro

but dagon works well for most pubs.

For es, all he needs is enough mana to carry off his chains, while catching as many heroes at once with echo slam.

I'd recommend arcane ring/bottle + blink dagger.

following those items, its pretty much whatever you prefer already.

es with power tread can farm faster and with satanic, can no need go back fountain for healing. Es not like lion alot mana to farm, so Es use normal fighting skill is better. Satanic activate skill +40atk stack with es skill +200% damage.

if you're going to throw in situational comparisons like "what if theres <heroname>", i could come up with another 54million reasons why ES shouldn't be going satanic and power treads. :(

in addition hex,shackle, doom and fiend's grip has no bearing on why ES should not go blink dagger/arcanering/boots. For example, if ES has been fiend's gripped, i don't see how satanic/powertreads is going to help save him when 4 other heroes are pounding on him.

DotA is not a 1v1 game. Don't throw in singular hero/skill comparisons.

in any case, i think this thread has been answered.

For your infomation, satanic got add quite alot hp and it can last longer and reinforcement from your team will come. If you follow arcane and all tat stuff hp under 1000, few nuke and its dead.

you are not getting my point. and the above was just an example.

to illustrate my point more clearly, you can avoid throwing in situations like "reinforcement will come", "what if kena doom", "what if kena hex".

how about a few of my own WHAT IFS

"what if i blink away"
"what if i've/my team warded the area" - i can avoid bane/rhasta/whatever while im on my own can't i?
"what if my teammate stuns rhasta 0.5sec after he shackles me"
"what if my teammates have not respawned/are too far away" - OMG no reinforcements!!!

et cetera. THE LIST IS ENDLESS

if you say that power treads suits es because his attack speed is horrendous. fine by me.

BUT if you say that power treads/satanic can help me survive <hero name>.
sorry, doesn't work.

Focus on the hero we're discussing here. DON'T throw in situations. get it?

yes. and i wasnt talking about that post either. i have absolutely no problems with your initial suggestion.

there r 4839489348 type of bulid for all hero... but for match most ppl will get dagger arcane boot.. cos es is hard to farm, n his role is juz to echo, stun, support teamate.... u cant possible farm until santanic or etc... u let ur late gamer farm... u dun nid es to be a tanker or attacker.. i tink all people hu play match in irc noe tis........
i think he plays more BattleNet pubby games than DRAFT MATCHES. so we should pardon his inexperience. the way he choose his item build is for those people that wanna Kill, Pawn , Kill and get BEYOND GODLIKE.
who knows? His KOTL will get DIVINE RAPIER.

lol. DEPENDs on what kind of ES you wanna create. Fighter ES? Spellcaster ES? lol. Theres no definite build for a hero.

Its just like any hero with Divine Rapier can be the main physical dmger in the team (even ES). Any hero with a guinsoo can disable (even naix if you want). Any hero that buys blink dagger can blink (lol..say potm?)

Well its not about what items you SHOULD go, but what items are the most EFFECTIVE for that situation. For me, I'd prefer arcane doe ES to a power treads satanic ES. Remember that DotA is a team game. Its not just about ES alone. You have 4 other team mates too.

on topic: normally people like to go a few ironwood branches + 2-3 sets of tango at start of game. but for certain heroes, like sandking or lina, i prefer to just get 2 sets of tango and clarity, so that i can get enough gold for bottle asap.

Then ok, i give a sneak peak of our good combo. "Witch doctor use bounce stun on enemy hero when they whole bunch are together, and fairie dragon use his ultimate which will hit alot of enemy hero, this make thier whole team hiphop. You can also use eniqma stun, or a fighter rifleman take aim skill to stack up the effect. Most the time all the enemy is dead." Triple kill, Triple kill, Triple kill, Owning.

The further you stand from the farie dragon ultimate you stun longer, and it have a wide aoe.

u get stunned IN the AOE of the ulti. When u walk out of the AOE, u get stunned AGAIN, therefore effectively you get stunned TWICE.

Treant, Manutaur, Lina, Faerie Dragon, sandking

Root them together when they whole bunch together then reverse polarity then epicenter which will hit alot of them. Then stun dragon slave and laguna den refresh and cast it again to deal 5480 (or something) dmg! den finally use faerie dragon to make them do hip hop! For the benefit of those reading this thread.

Puck's skill works this way;

Immediately upon casting, enemy heroes within the aoe gets stunned for 0.5 seconds. The AoE then lasts for 5 secs and within this 5 seconds, if the enemy hero(es) moves out of the AoE, they get stunned again (1.5/2.25/3 i think). So essentially, it forces enemy heroes to stay within the AoE for 5 seconds or risk getting disabled.

One effective way to use the AoE when ganking a single hero, is to throw the AoE's edge in the direction where the hero is running to force him to "break the thread" and receive both 0.5sec and the 1.5/2.25/3sec stun.

lots of combinations works... in theory... for example....

dark seer, enigma, sk/es, zeus, SOMETHING

but combinations dun always go this well... theres a potential disruption if some heroes are outside the disabled area or somewhere else.

back to the topic...

the new items are interesting. but the one with unholy str seems to fit naix alot... hmm.. or issit just coz they came out at the same time? something like molj coming out with potm.
