Let's say a school wants to field a team but hasn't found which team to field, can field a team without all team member details?

And I think different schs a bit =.= defeats the purpose of being inter-sch, although I wouldn't mind lol.

can summone appeal to them that students waiting for results to be allowed to take part in the compy? or its very unfair as i am the only 1 waiting for my results in my team while the others are still in sch so we are short of 1 player... and those taking 3 months course in jc are not official yet... so where does all those ppl who wanted to help their sch take part in competition goes to? i still always go back to sch to help out in my cca while waiting for results... =X

Hello. I am here to ask a favour from the organisers of the coming Inter School e gaming competition. Can you guys post more details of the competition on http://www.rapturegaming.com/egaming.html Many are wanting to join the competition but are afraid that they might not be eligible. A competition should be organised such that there are enough details for the people to know. It will also save the trouble from too much non-eligible teams registering. Information such as if there is really a need for a teacher in charge or whether students waiting for o's results are eligible for the competition. If all these information are not posted. Students will start to assume that they can join and get dissapointed when they are being rejected.

The reason why i am sending an email to you is because i believe that the organisers of this event wants to promote gaming in Singapore schools. So it should be done properly such that people will gain interest in it but not be dissapointed when they cannot join.

The 2nd reason is that i am appealing to the organisers that students waiting for their o level results to be able to take part in the competition. I am one of those students waiting for the release of the o level results and i am sure most of the people at my age 17 plays DOTA more than the other ages in Secondary/JC.

DOTA has become a very popular game since last year or even the year before. I started playing it when i was sec 3 which was 2 years ago and i find it a very competitive game. Being such a competitive game, i believe that most likely, only students at the age of 14(Sec 2 age) and above will be interested. This competition is being held early in the year which is during March. It means that if students just started learning the game during sec 1 or 2, they would most probably just be a beginner and not prepared to go for a competition. From past DOTA competitions, most of the players which have joined are above the age of 16 and are in poly. But this Inter School competition are only allowed for Secondary/JC students which are students from Sec1-5 and JC students from year 2 only. So most of the participants will only come from Sec 3-5 and JC year 2 as Sec 1 students have just graduated from primary schools and Sec 2 students just learnt how to play the game. For Sec 4 and 5 Students, they will be having their O levels this year and if they decided to concentrate on their studies, they might not want to join the competition while joining the competition will be a distraction to them if they do not have the discipline to control their time. So in Secondary School, only the Sec 3's are the "free" ones. While is JC, year 1 students are supposed to be those waiting for their o levels results and will not be official student of the school until april. Year 2 students will be having their A levels this year like the Sec 4-5 students having their O's.

I want to bring out that most of the students who are free will be those waiting for their o's results. Some are in 3month courses while some are free but they do not really have any important things to be done. So why are students waiting for results not able to take part in the competition when they might want to help their school to win something? I am one of those students which already have a team formed for the competition. 4 other members are my juniors in the school and without me they will have 1 lesser player. So i seriously hope that u open the competition to students who are waiting for o level results and post more details about the competition. Thank You.

that answered all your questions junzjunz. those doing 3months jc is considered OFFICIAL j1 student for 1st 3months if not who is considered j1 during this period of time? so your frens doin 1st 3months can take part n join a team within the same school. those people waiting for o's results are not considered as students during these period of time cuz u all are GRADUATED from your secondary school. that's what i understood from dotasg_papa above 2 sentences. fyi, its supposed to be INTER-JC/SEC, between jcs and sec schs.
