Today's exciting finale to the marks the end of DotaSg's Showdown Series. After going through weeks of preliminaries, it was time to finally seperate the kings from the men.
DotaSg managed to catch the 3 winners for an exclusive interview after the game!
Interview with 2nd Runner up, Xabo
DotaSg: Hi Xabo, congratulations on attaining 3rd place in Showdown! Would you like to give a brief introduction about yourself?
Xabo: My name is Wen Kai, and i am 18 this year. I was previously from Team Sweety Hybrid and am clanless at the moment.
DotaSg: You picked TA in Round 4, which had never seen play before in the whole series. Why?
Xabo: I was actually advised by my friend, Kensonex to pick TA. It was more of a fun pick for me, because i knew that i already lost.
DotaSg: Did you expect yourself to get 3rd place?
Xabo: I certainly didnt expect myself to get 3rd, but after winning Round 4 with TA it certainly gave me a boost in morale. It was then that i realised there was a slight chance after all.
Dotasg: Well, thanks so much for the interview. Any last words?
Xabo: Don't kill Blue book!

DotaSg: Hi Wan! Congrats on clinching second place! Would you like to tell us more about yourself?
Wan: Thanks! My name is Wan Quan and i am 19 this year. I was previously from Ipod, Gachanpon and Emo. Currently i am clanless, though i do play occassionally with Lsc Evo.
DotaSg: I realised that you picked a very consistent pick of SF and Bane throughout this finals. Any reason why?
Wan: Well, i think Bane and SF are very reliable heroes. I used SF because during my second week of qualifiers, i faced against a SF user and he inspired me.
DotaSg: I see. By the 5th round, the championship was no longer in your hands to decide. Did you watch the do or die match between Nightstalker and Seabear?
Wan: I was watching it and i was slightly nervous.
DotaSg: Any last words for the DotaSg community?
Wan: Congratulations to Nightstalker for winning this and to everyone else for participating in it.

DotaSg: Congratulations on being the champion! You clinched this title with a perfect score of 5 wins out of 5. Whats your secret?
NS: I think its important to make good use of strategies, heroes and items. Personal skills also play a part in my opinion.
DotaSg: In Rounds 1, 2 and 3, you used SF and Bane. Why did you suddenly change to using Broodmother in Rounds 4 and 5?
NS: Before the game started, i was thinking about what to use. When i saw Wan picking Bane, I decided to use Broodmother for its pushing ability.
DotaSg: Going into the last round, knowing that winning it would make you the champion, did it give you any added pressure?
NS: I knew the consequences, but i was prepared. If i had lost, i have a backup plan in store.
DotaSg: Once again, congratulations on your win! Any last shoutouts?
NS: Ya, the highlight was my Round 3 match against Xabo was very close. I was underleveled and underfarmed. Just when all seemed lost, Xabo made a mistake by killing my Necro guys. He suffered 800 damage and died, which gave me much needed confidence.
