Today we have a long awaited interview with the champions of Newspring, Fazethemusic! Kosh and Jon met in Maplestory through a friend, after which the three of them formed a team called Dose which subsequently disbanded.
After WCG, their team disbanded a second time due to small conflicts. Kosh then joined back Faze with the addition of new players like Kakashi and Adverska (Now with Zenith) for the NewSpring tournament.
DotaSg: Firstly, congratulations to you guys for being the champions of Newspring! You guys certainly blew your opponents away. Would you like to give a short introduction about yourselves?
Doug: I am the newest member of Faze and i joined them after Newspring. I was from **** previously.
Jon: HI ! im fAze|LSmurF-` also known as Jon. during the starting of competitive dota for me , i have nv won a single match during compy , everytime FRO si beh sian ! i slack for one whole year playing dota even though i was retaking my o levels! luckily we produce results ! if not i will be emo !
Kosh: I play a very unique role in the team, always skele rk skele rk they call me melee king / feeder king. You can always see me in between 5 heroes usually i die in exchange for one or two of them. Surprisingly i didnt feed much in newspring getting a record score of 1 0 with skele king during the hardest match on the day of the finals. And yes always FRO with LSmurF-` also... kaka is from the people republic of china!
Ray: I am Ray, the first time i play draft my team mate pumped me one reaver, and den i SIO Jon Upside down.
Kakashi: Hi ! i Am kAkAsHi and i was 1 of the new members that joined them before Newspring. It was a tough job as I used to play killer roles in my past team; But Come to faze to many Killer and i was post to Playing support.Thanks TO Jon and the gang I been Like Home after moving so many teams And special thanks To Adverska that now from zenith As The special training he gave to me before New Spring paid off as we got the Champion =D! Lastly, I am a Singaporean!
DotaSg: During the NewSpring competition, you guys were really one of the more vocal teams. Is it one of your tactics, like how Maria Sharparnova shouts to intimidate opponents?
Fazethemusic: It is to boost our team's morale and also to intimidate opponents.
DotaSg: So after setting the benchmark after NewSpring, what is Faze's objective this year, starting from the upcoming CAPL?
Kosh: Find a stable sponsor, win capl open, have a shot at gg compy and of course the next installment of dotasg compy as well.
Ray: To form a Faze Vampirism Team.
Kakashi: Win WCG
Jon: Team FazetheVamp FTW!
Doug: We hope to become CAPL Open Champions.
DotaSg: What teams do you think is a threat to yourself currently, with the exception of teams like Zenith, Impreza, etc? Any dark horses to look out for?
Ray: The rest we sio only! (Jon insisted this line be put in, even though Ray say no)
Kosh: No dark horses to look out for, thats why they are called dark horses ;) !!!
Kakashi: Trying our best to win all!
Doug: There is still DsD and |sc outbreakz.
