Very own competition to be held in Evolution Square outlets . : 04-17-2000 11:00 AM - 11:00 AM

Hello friends of dotasg,

Evolution square will be holding their very own competition(Mayday Event) in the year 2008. It is to be held in both the outlets of Evolution Square! It will be a 32 teams single elimination knock out format.

Venue: Evolution Square ( selegie road parklane shopping center ) both on the basement 1 as well as on the 2nd floor.
Registration fees: 55$
Date: 4th May 2008

16 teams each will proceed to both outlets of Evolution Square on the 2nd floor and on the basement respectively. For each venue, the maximum number of rounds that a team will be able to play is 2 rounds. So that'll leave us with 4 teams in both outlets. The final 8 teams will then battle it out for the grand prize.

Registration will be opened from 17th April (Toward) onwards at both outlets. Registration forms are available at the counter. Live draw will be done to ensure fairness. Teams can send me( Jiiajunn_90@hotmail.com ) a email with ur team details (Team name, players of 6max, NRIC, and hp no for that team's contact) to comfirm a slot for ur team before making payment at Evolution Square.

Our one and only EvodLsGirls` will be taking part too. Be sure come down and support them!

Rules:

Competition method: 5 v 5
Match Length : Until the winner is determined
Match Point: Best of 1 match
Match Winner: The team who destroys the opponent's throne/world tree first, or if the opponent surrender

Game Settings
Version: 6.49c
Game mode: Extended league (-xl)
Coin Toss
The match will begin with a coin toss and winner of the coin toss will get to choose:
(a) Sentinel/Scourge side of the map or
(b) the first hero selection from drafting

Important Rules:
Team that chooses the sentinel side will host the game.
Team members are not allowed to change seats once DotA map has started to load.
At the end of the match, players must maintain the final screenshots and receive confirmation from the marshal. At the end of the game, replay has to be saved and named as EVO_DOTA_TEAM1vsTEAM2 by the winning team leader or at least one of the team members. Failure to do so will cause the game to be void and no winner will be declared for that game.

Game Play:

Backdooring is NOT allowed. Instances of teleport abuse are not allowed. You cannot use any form of teleport (furion skill, ignis fatuus, or Boots of Travel) to enter an enemy base UNLESS your creeps are already present in the base. So, for example, teleporting with Boots of Travel onto an ignis fatuus that runs in to backdoor is illegal. Another example is having your teammates backdoor and enters an enemy base and then teleport to your teammates as Furion. This is illegal because your creep wave is not present. Some of these measures have since been restricted in recent map versions in support of this rule.

Sharing of Items
No items can be shared among teammates including of Aegis of the Immortal, Gem of True Sight and Divine Rapier. (space) If droppable items are dropped when player is killed, only the player and enemy team is allow to pick up or to be destroy by teammates. (space) Only Flask of Sapphire Water can be CAST onto teammates.

Abuses & Exploitation:
1. Trees Trapping (Disqualification):
Trapping enemies in trees intentionally is not allowed.

. Pooling (Disqualification):
No pooling of any sort is allowed. This means that items bought with a player's own money cannot at any time be carried by any of his teammates. Items bought with the player's own money can only be carried or sold by him. This rule only applies to players on the same team. Players can pick up items dropped by their opponents.

3. Pause Abuse (Disqualification):
During hero selection. From the point after hero selection process is completed, pausing without any valid reason is disallowed.

4. Creep Blocking (Disqualification):
Creep blocking is not allowed but creep slowing is allowed. Blocking here refers to the prolonged blocking of creeps to disrupt their usual path. (ie: Using Chen's creeps to block the entire entrance of the base for a long time.) Creep slowing means that you can stop the creeps from moving in their usual path for a few seconds. (ie: Using fissure)

5. Bugs Exploitation (Warning , Game Loss or Disqualification):
No Exploitation of any known old or new bug discovered during gameplay. No excuses will be entertained. Ignorance is not an excuse. Participants/Teams are expected to know what these bugs are.

Examples of Bugs:
Earthshaker using "Fissure" to target out of the edge of the map. Results in a fatal error in some instances. Any players found doing this will be disqualified.

6. No control sharing (Disqualification):
Strictly no control sharing. Only when there is one more or team mates disconnects, then you can share the control of that player(s)' hero. However, you cannot take, pass or sell that hero's item(s).

Each team is limited to:

2 Necronomicons
1 Arcane Ring
1 Refresher Orb
2 Guinsoos or 2 Eul sceptor or 1 eul sceptor + 1 Guinsoo

Players are advised to save their games frequently. (once for first blood, and subsequently in a 15 mins interval)

i din wan to mention about that match again but since u bring it ip , look the case goes like this . the tower got like 110 health when the ts at 32min made a clear backdoor when his creep wave was at his tower by using his diablotic to destory the tower and took the gold with last hit . on that instance , we paused the game and ask the marshall if it was a foul resulting in a dq as stated in the rule

well i got some things to say first of all regarding the back door rule. JJ clarified.

with reference to jovi we are not playing a mym compy now so what nutz is following or thinking should not stand. we are playing an evo compy and the rules were clearly stated for a very very long time so since ur gonna play a compy maybe you should read the rules. it does not matter whether it was accidental or not it was a violation of rules. if violations of rules can be overlooked then wat are rules for rather just free for all dont even need to xl wanna ban dont wanna ban each side choose their own rule?saves the trouble of coming out with a set of rules right i use fissure to block the creep wave from entering base i say eh i accidentally click there fissure cannot stop = im not at fault nice. plz thnk about it i just feel that even though jj is such a jerk he still deserves the impartiality and fairness of a competition.

i say this in a neutral stance. regarding the backdoor rule,
i have checked with the marshall before the game if the same rule applies to the first two towers in the game. you cannot hit the enemy's tower if there isnt any creeps in range of the tower. you can either choose to continue hitting the tower or retreat if your creeps have died.

And for the bd incident i got nth to say anymore. Those who wanna tink my team was in the wrong so be it. Rules speak for itself and replay can be vouched. I really think i got nothing wrong wherus the opposing team bmed my whole team after reload and i shld be the one coming to forum to flame them and i got bmed by NutZ yet in forum, a ex zenith player.
Some reasons like u said ur creep wave was present while OrangE the marshall from evo viewed and declared that the creep wave was not presented at all. Another reason was u said u on ur edict accidentally and walked past the tower. Even if i can accept that, u still go last hit and whack tower. How do u last hit accidentally ? Another reason was u said mym allows deniable ranged tower to be backdoor but we are playing a evo compy which i've set the rules and not a mym international competition.

I've let all this go but u come and bm me on forum somemore. My only mistake was not controlling my temper and scolding the moshimoshi a rambutan head etc but if u had view all post posted by him so many is bming me and i cldnt take it anymore

The ****ing dog was the last straw .

Lastly i've been in the dota scene for so long and i agreed i've bmed countless ppl so i never go kp back to those who find me.
