foreigner needs help

Hey guys hello i need some advice regarding the following heroes. its just that i dont see these heroes being played that much by singaporeans though they are usual staples in other communities.

Leviathan: He has a cheap nuke and a slow. This plus his ulti which has a relatively fast cooldown can help a lot during ganks. I know he has a hard time farming a dagger but is this just the sole reason why he doesnt get drafted in your games?

Chaos Knight: A tank with a fairly good stun. His blink attack is decent too considering it only costs 50 mana plus the bonus damage is guaranteed since it ignores armor. Again he cannot farm that much items. But why isn't he given consideration? Well i've noticed that you guys only draft 2 melee heroes during games them being the SK and RK.

Twin Headed Dragon: He is in my opinion the best solo hero the senti's have and is probably the hottest thing in western DOTA. He has a cheap AOE nuke that helps a lot in farming and he has a high HP considering he is an intel type of hero.

Well you guys have proven that Rhasta, Tiny, Rylai, Lina and Krobe are inferior so I wont ask about them.

twin headed dragon is used occasionaly , but the other two is frowned bcos they are melee?

ck was drafted in rather old replays from mVp and revo from my impression
then slowly replaced by rk + bot
and sk being the most popular str hero now:bananapartyhat:

mmm. well Ck was actually drafted in the past (6.27b) but because the stun is nerfed to a specific range for every lvl, (lvl 1 1-2 seconds lvl 2 1-3 seconds etc) it is no longer useful in early lane control because of the short stun duration.

well for leviathan i'm not too sure, its only a 1 second stun time. can't do much about it lol

i know of a team who uses levitian and a levitian saves the team most of the time by coming in late... using the area aoe most of the disabling spells lik shackles bane's ulti and in any case sk without a dagger ulti would all be cancelled... its a good hero for lane farming and the battlefury like skill deals heavy dmg... seen in a good draft with dk most of the time by hitting the hero with more hp...

They are good heroes in their own right. We just find ones that are better to fill certain roles we require them to.

And which is not to say that we never use them, the better teams are just more comfortable with other heroes (and occasionally do use them). THD is used commonly, which means it might be rather difficult to determine at a glance what heroes are staple and what are not.

1. skeleton king: why not him? he has a stun much like the RK so he can be of serious use during ganks. he is a tank that can stay in the lane much longer plus he has reincarnation. do you guys not see any potential from leoric?

2. spirit breaker: awesome ulti plus empowering haste with treads adds about 50+ divine damage at level 4. Barathrum with a BKB is awesome since he doesnt need much time in engaging his enemies considering his ulti is a blink attack. plus the bash that happens and when it happens is GG.

3. panda: awesome tank with an ulti that makes him almost impossible to kill. decent attack animation so last hitting easy. but he may need a blink to contribute and money is not easily earned in your kind of games.

just need your insights thanks guys.

yeah i've seen tidehunter alot of times but CK it's quite rare.i mean never.

i don't really like CK for it's wide base damage range. Especially at low levels, timing a last hit on creeps require more skill since you have to get used to the wide range of dmg it does.

hmm sb can be taken into consideration but sk and panda have a hard time chasing heroes to deal dmg, sk would stun get a few hits and thats it.same case for panda.

IMO panda is very good for pple who can micro well. Dota is more micro-intensive compared to standard game-almost every second counts. Controlling 3 units isn't that easy,furthermore 1 having windwalk,cyclone,dispel magic and the other having taunt and boulder..trying to micro them all to cast some spells isn't a piece of cake. RK and SK are much easier (i feel) since it takes 2(or more?)spells to pull out a combo.
Farmingwise i find panda one of the easiest heroes to last hit-his swing time is very low,furthermore with evasion and criticals it helps out in tanking hits when being harassed while farming. High HP gain per level,evasion and crits,fast hits...

panda is not bad actually... bt teams wud prefer sk/rk cos they are better combinations with tournament heroes, of cos panda has his potential, so im still looking fwd to teams using it.... anyway, i tink dsd has used it b4 against mvp

my team use ck as part of the draft. seriously in singapore we play ap draft so we could have used better soloers like viper or warlock. in america u all play LM so probably the best soloer in sentinel would be THD ?
