Singapore, Asia - Once again we are here to bring you another exclusive interview from our WCG 2008 Open Category winners, tbun w4si! This interview is rather short as the m'sian team were rushing for their bus but nonetheless this is what we have for you! Enjoy :)
SoloZ: Firstly, I just want to mention how amazing it was seeing how you guys played from the spectator stands during the exhibition match against the ACG champions Ehome. How did you all generally feel about playing the match against the coveted champions?
tbun w4si: We felt really pressurized to performed, it was a great experience though. We also have learnt something valuable from them. We hope they also feel the same way about us.
SoloZ: How about the unconventional picks such as Clockwork, etc that China went for, were you guys confident in playing against them?
tbun w4si: We actually do not have any good ideas on how to deal with such combos as they are rarely seen in the WCG this time round, especially Clockwerk which is a really unpredictable hero. Thus, we easily get caught by them and didn't play as well as we expected to be.
SoloZ: So which of the matches did you felt were the most challenging of all?
tbun w4si: It would have to be the Asian champions Ehome as their statistics are much better than us and furthermore we feel that their playstyle is hard to adapt to and counter.
SoloZ: I see. Did you all actually think your team could win the SG Open WCG Category?
tbun w4si: Yes, we are fully confident as most of the better teams are already in the ACG.
SoloZ: Given the chance would you also like to take part in next year's WCG?
tbun w4si: Yes, sure. We would definitely like to take part in ACG as well, to represent M'sia.
SoloZ: I trust you guys have thoroughly enjoyed your WCG experience on a whole. Any last words?
tbun w4si: we hope the price pool will improve.. (winks cheekily*)
SoloZ: Ok, thank you for your time. We sincerely hope you enjoy the rest of your stay here in Singapore!
Congrats to tbun w4si on their hard-earned wins in the Open category and lets hope we will see them playing more often alongside KS in the M'sia competitive scene.
