Today we bring to you a heartening and enlightening discussion between our one and only Lesterx with SoloZ & Lance who initiated the interview with our popular forumer.


Interview with Lesterx:


SoloZ: Hi there lesterx! So when exactly did u start gaming?

Lesterx': Gaming ah lOL. Like when I was primary 4? LOL


LANCE: How were u being introduced into dota?

Lesterx': I was introduced by my school mates since secondary 2, have been playing around 4 years.


LANCE: Ever gotten bored of dota?

Lesterx': Not really, but sometimes yes


LANCE: Due to studies?

Lesterx': Nope, due to too much playing of dota, i didn’t study at all one lol (except this yr k)


SoloZ: what are your plans for the future? Eg competitive play, teams, etc

Lesterx': In future, hmm I’ll definitely come back to competitive dota after my o's level but not sure I’ll be picked up by which team. Or maybe even if any team wants me! Haha


LANCE: Any comments on the current competitive scene? Eg imbalanced heroes or certain teams

Lesterx': Imbalanced heroes will be tide, omniknight, weaver, visage, dragon knight. Armlet of mordiggan can be abusable and put to great use imo


SoloZ: Recently there has been much hoo-ha over your infamous status in DotaSG. Anything to say about that? (Or to your loyal fans for that matter)

Lesterx': That i don't really care much. Cos that particular day if i didn’t remember wrongly, we were talking in a channel and then ice initiated 'attack' my thread that i started. Yea even after all my friends that started joking around , even strangers started to 'join in the fun' , which imo was unnecessary and i felt like abit uncomfortable as it was a sarcastic joke after all


SoloZ: Haha, poor lesterx. What do you think of DotaSG atm? Any opinions or suggestions for us to improve?

Lesterx': The public or forum-ners are too naive. They look down on our local teams (zenith, impreza, evo.xtc etc.) because of losing in some competitions. They think it was that easy to fight against international countries and often blame our local teams for losing to other countries, whether in an online compy like MYM or in local tournaments. It's not in a scenario where the teams were chosen to represent Singapore; it’s just that those few teams that were left were Singapore teams. And they always discriminate our teams. It's not easy forking out time planning new strategies, going for LAN trainings and stuffs. We have other commitments as well. If they can play better than us and win some international teams, then they have a valid reason to post and to discriminate us. Otherwise i don't think it’s even necessary for those insensible posts. It makes others seem that even we have internal conflicts rather than support. Look at team KS, the whole msia rooting behind them... Likewise for Team Mineski, whole of Philippines supporting them. But look at Singapore. People shooting our own local teams...


SoloZ: I see. Indeed there was overwhelming support for other countries during ACG. However, what attracts/inspires you to continue playing Dota on the competitive level?

Lesterx': I feel that playing competitive dota is exciting, and needs alot of planning on strategies, gameplay and stuffs. Most important point, is that I enjoy playing with my friends

From this interview alone, Lesterx' indeed emulates the Singapore spirit. His insightful replies should also be taken note of as well, especially the lengthy responses above. Perhaps it is time we start reflecting on ourselves instead?

Likewise, i've gotta point this out. I've noticed you have criticised teams/players in the past. While freedom of speech is allowed here, we do not encourage and will certainly not tolerate any indirect flaming, whilst it exists especially towards fellow forumers.

Yeah guys, we have keep repeating please do not take it too far. And a joke is not funny anymore when repeated too many times. Friends of not, please take care of the person's feeling.

Why I says friends or not? It's because if non friends you all should not continue to join in the fun if the person targeted already express uncomfort about being the subject of the joke. If you continue, it will be personal insult we will deal with you accordingly. As for friends, how you can indirectly help is to either make it clear you are his friend that why the joke is on him from all of you. Then other who do not know him will not join in the fun blindly. I have closed one eyes to friend posting cos I know some of your are his close friends. But the problem is that the others do not know. They might innocently join the fun thinking the person targeted is ok being the center of a joke.

As for the target you can feel free to express your unhappiness so that other understands what is your tolerance level.

Please, it pains me to keep imposing more and more stricter rules. It will kill the fun in DotaSG.

For your information , i didn't did what you had mentioned. Most of the time i'm playing , i used random nicks. I only use the nick lesterx- if I was hosting through GGC. And did it occur to you that it could be someone that was smurfing me? I mean , who would in that right mind be so 'arrogant' or 'cocky' and type shits and bm? Okay , i'm lazy to argue or reason out with you all. You guys can continue the 'flaming' or 'fun' stuffs or whatever stuffs that is irrevelant to this thread.


This really proves how much intellect you guys(flamers etc.) posesses and you COULD be like 18 years old physically , but have a mental age of 10 years old and going around 'flaming' people out of fun and stuffs.

I didn't post this because I care. I posted this because everyday , my friends would start telling me this and that and stuffs on the thread. To those who appreciate the interview , I really thank you. Unfortunately for SoloZ and lancelot who had spent their time for this interview , this interview instead turns into a flaming thread. I would like to apologize for all the inconvenience caused and I had absolutely no idea that the majority of the public had such a reaction or bad impression on me. To those who really dislike me , I can say that I have no serious grudges against you guys or whatsoever. Maybe try to be more far-sighted and you can see things from another perspective view , and not judge things because of one event.

Oh , and lastly to flamers , instead of using the time to kp flame in forums , maybe use your time wisely? Maybe you may be even more pro than MYM or SK.G and become more famous :) Don't you think that once some comments are made , the usual flamers or keyboard warriors start to join in the fun and aim someone? Don't you realise that the usual flamers are the ones who are 'infamous' ?

Hxhx, you say it like interviewing Lesterx' is bad thing. While our purpose and intent remains pure, it is the gamers who distort the interview with inconsiderate replies. We can do anything like interviewing other players like you mentioned but at the end of the day ultimately its how the gamers respond to it that matters.

I only remembered when during the period of ADC 1 , my then team , impreZa had some internal conflicts and when we were back to our original state , your team , DsD , refused to have the ADC competition game against us ^^ (please don't give me your lame reasons or craps that we had forfeited , the point is we had spoken to the adminstrators and they gave us a week to reschedule our match against you but somehow due to whatever reasons , you guys refused to reschedule the match , STRESSING that we had forfeited and that's over)

So hxhx , kindly **** unless you can make some sensible comments. Instead of making 3 posts or more to indirectly flame me or what , I suggest you convert some of your genes into intellect instead of typing retarded comments like some retarded kid. Likewise , if you're not happy with me still , we can settle it somewhere else?

But i sincerely implore you to focus on the interview and input given by Lesterx. He is kind enough to give us this interview and instead of contributing valuable discussion you all gank up together to flame him?

Ask yourself why he posted those replies earlier. Although hxhx did not meant any harm, previous replies from eg Rukia were already aimed at sarcasam and flaming him indirectly. You can't expect someone to just sit down there and take all the insults showered on him. I can tell you indirect flaming hurts a whole lot more.

Once again i reiterate we have done nothing wrong. Our purpose of the interview was to lighten things up on the forum and also clear up misunderstandings regarding Lesterx'. It is up to you guys to intepret the interview the way you wish. We can only sit by and be disappointed by the lack of appreciation & enthusaism of the painstaken efforts we went through, and yet our own audience questions the wisdom of this interview.

Yup, the mods has done nothing wrong. It was a good interview but sad to say it brought across the wrong kind of attention. Those who has smth agst lesterx should prolly go pm him personally instead of flaming here in the threads. I am not going to close this thread, neither am i going to issue infractions to those who have flamed him as of this moment. That is up to my partner Lance. But i sincerely implore you to focus on the interview and input given by Lesterx. He is kind enough to give us this interview and instead of contributing valuable discussion you all gank up together to flame him?

Ask yourself why he posted those replies earlier. Although hxhx did not meant any harm, previous replies from eg Rukia were already aimed at sarcasam and flaming him indirectly. You can't expect someone to just sit down there and take all the insults showered on him. I can tell you indirect flaming hurts a whole lot more.

Once again i reiterate we have done nothing wrong. Our purpose of the interview was to lighten things up on the forum and also clear up misunderstandings regarding Lesterx'. It is up to you guys to intepret the interview the way you wish. We can only sit by and be disappointed by the lack of appreciation & enthusaism of the painstaken efforts we went through, and yet our own audience questions the wisdom of this interview.
