International - After previous update on a upcoming keyboard from Microsoft under the same "Sidewinder" series branding, they have again release another drooling update on their newest addition to their arsenal. The Sidewinder X8 wireless mouse.

This latest mouse has loses it's tail and gain an amazing DPI of 4K. In actual use 2K DPI is already sufficient, however there is no complain if it can hit topspeed of 4K DPI. For those who are number chaser, this will definitely on their wish list. Another thing is that it will use MS latest " BlueTrack laser tech".

MS has outdone themselves again in the design department by have a cleaner look on their latest Sidewinder mouse. It's still retain it's killer look tradition, and leaving out the metallic stud like side button giving it little more minimalist look. The blue led lighting the bottom of the mouse create a classy look which most of the top end mouse products on the market prossess.

You should be able add this to your arsenal of game peripherals when it hits the market around Feb 09.

Quoted from Gizmodo
"X8 has a play-and-charge cable that you unwrap from the small hockey puck. You've also got the usual gaming mouse standards—on-the-fly DPI switching, macro recording, and a total of seven buttons, plus the scroll wheel now tilts left and right.

Ergonomically, this looks better than the previous two SideWinder mice. The sharp "bump" at the top has been smoothed out and should be more comfortable, and it's less angular overall. Most importantly, they're halfway to admitting defeat on the thumb buttons. Though still vertically aligned (damn it), the uncomfortable, hard-to-hit circles have been replaced by sloping rectangles that make them easier to distinguish and press instinctively."

Wah, mega drool for PaPa. I am sure they will look nice and feel good in use. Mr Bill if you can hear me, I do not mind doing a free review if your good company can send us a set of these babies.

It's really a tad behind to Logitech,Razer & Steelseries.. I adore the efforts to include this & that functions from mixing the above 3 big names.. But it really messed the mouse except for the removable mouse feets :)

Lachesis also 4k DPI :) Unless you're playing CS where you can tweak in game sense.. Don't try that on DotA

More comfortable den Deathadder to begin with.. I think it's 2k DPI or around there ... The have one mousepad that uses USB cable for lighting but .. onli for looks I guess..

I'd give its Sonar headset a go for it but not the mouse and stuff.. They're like a company riding on the waves off other company's innovation :X

Seems like it. Anyway back to the Sidewinder, the first version of the mouse look l33t but in the end it's a little disappoint on the feel when using it. Hope this new version with the improved look and with angular feel will be more comfortable on handling. Good thing is they are still keeping with the basic theme of the Sidewinder series.
