Wonder why DotaSG's forum looks a little strange? Well, its because we have made new changes to it and also did a little clean up. This cleanup will also apply to how we will manage this website, so that to help to mould a more friendly and fun community.
First, we have added a great new service, it's a section call "Community Matchmaker". How it is used and how it will benefit the community. First if you want to look for match or casual fame immediately, you can post your game's info like shown in the example in the sticky thread. It will explain the regulations on how to use the thread. Now it's still pretty empty but as long as users start to populate it with game it will definitely be better then looking for game elsewhere. As down here if there are report about problematic users or host we can take action on them through our infraction system. I am sure regular would conduct themselves properly when they are posting about their game here. If host wants to have a proper game with valid DotA user, the host can check users post and past post to determine if user are problematic individual. Also PM system can also be used to drop verification between the host and the user joining his game. The best thing is that first 5 post in the section will be shown on DotaSG's main page just below the horizontal bar on the left column named "Games Online". So help yourself by starting to use the thread often for your games to get it going.
Next change is that we have added the "Newbie Discussions" section. This is a place for those who are new to DotA to ask for help. The experience gamers should help them out so that they can play better Dota. Thus, refrain from posting crap and picking on newbies in the section, we will not hesitate to take action on trouble maker. DotaSG's team will cast his "Infraction" or "Banning" spell on those guilty without any hesitation. Please be kind and guide the newbies along for helping our DotA community grow.
No worry, if serious gamers wanna discuss about in-depth DotA stuffs, you all can still do it in the "DotA General and Strategy" section. Again, we will monitor this thread closely for troublemakers. Only serious and constructive discussions in here. No chit chatting or casual remarks here. If you want to casual chit chat or discuss about non DotA stuffs, do it inside "Chit Chat Cafe" .
Another new addition that is made due to the requested recently by our faithful users. They suggested for new section where they can talk about Dramas and Animes stuffs which are kind of popular among our community. After consideration, we decided to open up a section call "Media Wonderworld" just for their need. It will be the best place for all media related discussion. Examples Anime, Manga, Movies, TV Series, Drama or YouTube related stuffs. So hope you guys enjoy and utilise it often. We have already moved most of the past media related post into there for your information.
And then there is the "ProPowerPlay ABC" will be up pretty soon with all the awaited information. Please give us a little time to work on it, once ready it will be populated with all the precious information on ProPowerPlay ranking/scoring system.
Lastly, on a more serious note, we will again start to be strict in ensuring a proper use of our forum. So please only start or reply relevant post in correct sections and maintain proper level of seriousness according to the theme of different section. We still have strong faith in our regulars to properly behave in the section according to their theme and purpose. But as what we always have stand on, we will not tolerate any nonsense, insensitive and non constructive behaviors be it newbies or regulars.
Always tries to notify us of troublemaker, do not attempt to deal with them is same manner (or stoop to same level) as them, because it simply mean your EQ is low and is at the same immature level of the troublemaker. Please remember DotaSG will support you in dealing with troublemaker if you keep us informed and discuss with us. If you take justice into your own hand and react in a immature manner as troublemaker then we will deal with you same level as how we deal with the troublemaker. We will try our best to advice on what to do or how we can help.
