Basically this event is a 2 days event. A one game knockout event.
However you are entitled to stay or come back for both days to enjoy the facilities there.
They are
1) 2 x pool tables
2) Variety of comics collection
3) PS2 and Xbox
4) Basketball court
5) Remaining comps there

all FOC

except

Badminton courts and gym needs booking fees.

Yes there are still slots left.

For registration, im sorry, you'll have to make your way down to the CC. You jus need 1 representative with the details and registration fees will do.

However if u are really keen on coming down and fear of not getting a slot, i can book them for u first. All u need to do is to sent me an email Mickle48@hotmail.com , stating
i)the team name and
ii)date n
iii)time
of when your representative will be coming down.

For representatives , u will need the
a)Name,
b)Nric ,
c)address and
d)hp no.
of your teammates(6) and registration fees($30 per team).

As i know the place is inaccessible, i have book most of the facilities for the gamers on those 2 days. On top of that dinner is served for both days. And of course the fees for the compy is abt 5 dollars per player which i fought really hard for =).

Its not tat impossible. Do you need directions? I dun think getting help on web helps much. Firstly u need a train station and follow the instructions below.

1)Head down to harbourfront mrt.

2)Take any buses at the busstop right outside of harbourfront shopping center. (Not the one at vivocity or the one at seah imm hawker center) U can take any bus except 145 and 131.
(Buses available: 143,97,61,10,100,30,57 <--- quite alot dun really need to wait so long)

3) Count 3 busstops

I) FIRST BUSSTOP : OUTSIDE CARRIBEAN CONDOS
II) SECOND BUSSTOP : OUTSIDE ENTRANCE OF KEPPEL COUNTRY CLUB.
III) THIRD BUSSTOP : ALIGHT

4) Cross the overhead bridge.

5) walk due north all the way(passing by ntuc fairprice, blk 78)

6) Telok Blangah CC is on your left sandwiched between Blk 75 and 76. You jus need to look out for it.

reached harbourfront mrt at 2:45 , i approached the control station to find out the direction for telok blangah cc. but even that guy doesnt noe where is it. so nvm, i got the organiser's contact number from kel( who was in msia ). called 3 times but couldnt get thru. we took a cab to the cc , reached at around 3:05 , got up the wrong stairs n stuff so reached the competition area at around 3:10. the moment we went in we saw on the score board that our opponent had " won " us . and we were dq-ed. THEN, i was told that we're supposed to reach at 2:45 coz our match is at 3( i dont ****ing see that rule stated anywhere ) . and when i told the organiser we couldnt find the way and tried to call him, he replied " oh i nv on my fone , too bad lor " .

seriously. go learn how to organise a compy pls. the place is pathetic , not the mention the venue it is held at AND the attitude of the organisers.

ehhh..i have to agree to u on that.. when i reached the place i was kinda shock to see the place[how the compy is being run.. i left plaza sing with my team at 5.45 and needed that one hr and more to locate the place..after we got lost at telok blangah..we entered and found ourself in a room?shop?no idea..with 10 computers only and the coms and seatings are pathetic -_-..
i don't even clearly know what kind of compy we are playing.it din stated clearly on that few pieces of papers.thought should be a normal compy rules.. but only till after we made the 2nd draft they stated it was a 1hr 10mins game with towers count[thats pathetic we aint rushing for time?]..i mean wtf?if i knew it long ago we would not even draft qop and viper at all.and changed to a pushing combination instead. but too late too bad lol.u see these heroes are for mid-late game counter after items are up..and i got to host the game on the most pathetic com that lag like hell [ graphic card suxs]with a ....mouse..only till the game ended mickle told me should not had host on that com and another com instead -_- was it too late?the computer should be all the same and mouse everything should be the same not half here half there..seating on a -_- piece of metal chair. sound from a one sided ear-piece..seatings not 5by 5 instead 3 by 2..back-faced..the 2 even got a gap in btw..
but too bad a lost is a lost but if the compy was like that we wouldn't even take part in the 1st place.. blame on our ignorance to fully find out what type of compy we are playing.

come on, give the organiser a break, he was the solo organiser, he had to find sponsors, venue and everything else all by himself. even if u think the event was bad, you dont have to keep saying that it is the worst ever. to be fair, the coms there kept dcing and all. laggy. but yeah, it was his first time organising. what would you expect? he is considered a very friendly and helpful organiser already. but, time constrain was one thing he took very seriouisly, so on that, i cant blame him..

Thanks for showing your support . As u know this event is limited to 15 teams reason because its the first time im organising the event. Im not very well equiped with the knowledge of holding a good competition but after this one the same mistakes will not be repeated.

1) Venue: No longer CC. We will hold it places like etc, egames.

2) Judgement: As im the sole judge for the event and a nub, i dun think i can handle the judging . I will seek aid from more professional judges in counting the points.

3) Rules and regulations: It will be as updated as possible.

4) Abt Lateness: Im sorry that Mi2 was being DQ cos they came late. There is no favourism in this compy. Its the first time i meet u guys. I have called your leaders at least twice to remind you to come 15 mins before your game starts and also the third time before the compy if your late(Pass the last 15mins before the game starts). So i dun see really the problem with DQ-ing anyone who comes in late. Punctuality does shows the players etiquette towards the game.

5)Abt the game Timing: Yes i do think 70 mins is not really a good time for a complete understanding of the results. As im allowed only 2 days for this ladder event, i have to cramp up the timings so tat we could finish by the stipulated timing.

Lastly, i jus like to say that above all, yes , we all love dota here , including me. Im jus trying to organise more events on dota for teams to gain more experience and improve. I admit this event is not as expected from anyone, including myself. We all learn from mistakes rite? Thats the spirit of improving and getting better in wat we do.

Besides bad comps, short timing etc i hope that the welfare provided could at least put in a pinch of light at least =) Another improvement to make : Primary Objective >> Secondary Objectives.

Well to conclude despite of the downs i hope u guys like the nasilemak at least. The chili was good =).

Man I gotta agree with you, the host took effort and so much time to organise this competition for you guys , even if the comps dc and all that stuff there are still lots of things u guys had ur free lunch , dinner , free pool man where can u get all that stuff , u guys even had it all for free , free lan too not to mention ps2 and Xbox comics card games. Give him a break , if you wanna blame , blame the CC for such weak comps and the shop owner for play WoW =World Of WArcRaft when you guys were having your match , if you WaNNa count $$ count the food drinks pool and free comps you guys , which you guys had consumed and it adds up. T_T

To clarify

I did not say that, your were there when my phone rang. What i said was my phone was engaged such that i was making calls for the event. Its all the while on. For you not to reach me is not a reason to be late. I have informed your team leader. I have called your team twice to inform your abt the game schedules and time to report. Its the players part to come before or at least report at the stipulated timing given. It should be a common rule in every competition .

Thank you for your kind support ! Im afraid the next competition will be in june.
Im fighting for a twice annually competition. I wun mind picking time out to organise these competitions for u guys. Its also my interest in doing so.

If im not wrong the next event will be schedule in May- June07 school holiday period. Im already starting on skeleton. As I say the old one was a small scale project. Im now looking at ard or > 30 teams with prize $$ up to 1.5k in total. And an entirely different settings from the old one.

Im open to all feedbacks and comments on the expectation of the event.
