(Close to) 101 WAYS to ENJOY YOUR PUBLIC DotA Experience




Note: Not exactly 101 ways. But I hope you enjoy reading this. Perhaps derive something new from all of it. Cheers!



-Dont random if you are not prepared to use heroes u have not used before


- Be polite; at the room before game starts, try to engage in a small chat with players inside.


- A simple "GL HF!" (good luck have fun!) is essential for a friendly game.


- NEVER Bad-Manner anyone; Experts says that online bullies are violent and suffer from serious psychological problems.


- NEVER Leave a game unless the player difference is 2 and above (for eg 5v3).


- If there is a spoiler player (for eg chen that keeps teleporting allies to base), kindly request for a Remake with the opponent, while blacklisting that player.


- Reduce usage of vulgarities; some people deem it offensive.


- NEVER say racist jokes or do a personal attack on any players in game.


- If you do not know how to play a certain hero (for eg a newb player), kindly ask for help and tips, im sure your teammates are willing to help you.


- Avoid talking in "ALL" chat, as the opponent might feel that it is disturbing and annoying.


- If you are experiencing lag, kindly inform the host and ask whether he has any external programs running.


- Love yourself and Love others - Be good to others first and people will do the same.


- If your teammate gives a command, follow it. If you think it is inappropriate, voice your objection and state your reasons.


- Know your role.


- Lead with example as a team leader; be a good follower and listener as a team member.

but i don think quarrel alway mean that u cant trust him, he want u to change, that why he scold u, but after scolding and quarreling, we are still good friend and we understand each other better (: just my 2 cents

what about games where its too easy...so 5 friends decide to get 5 dagons to ks each other...refuse to end etc.?

i am a culprit of doing that myself.

it really spoils the game actually...even amongst the 5 friends sometimes it creates a very bad atmosphere.

Theres some case when you simply cannot tolerate any of a person's attitude anymore and break the friendship too you know. Even if they know each other for at least 5 years.

I would never want to blame noobs, but I do hope to have the right to teach them. As much as pros should not insult newbies, newbies should be willing to learn. I asked the luna to beam a dying centur, he waited until the centur walked away in front of him and into fog of war and only then chased the centur past tower and died, only to blame me for bad suggestions.
