We might consider turning Clan SG into something like IHL (where skills come first) once we get more players. Right now, Clan SG is something like Clan TDA @ Azeroth.

IHL is higher level of play compared to TDA

They have a ladder and clan ranking where clans/players are ranked according to their skill

this will be something like GxL or even CaPL. But in singapore dota community, its kinda close since you dunno who might win the league. Well, surprises make things more fun and challenging in singapore dota community. US league such as CaL and EsL are more of one sided since CoL has been dominating in both league. You don't see team like zenith dominating in every compy. (however they are dominating now) :Banane11:

The IHL has both individual and clan ladder where they play and get ranked. I'm suggesting that the individual part be imlemented for us singaporeans so that players can play with other good players. That is something that we do not have yet.

Yea. if it is implemented. it would be fun to see no leavers from both sides and some more can gain a bit of "inhouse" fame. yesterday, we must play 6 games then can get one full game.

The IHL was originally designed with 2 purposes in mind:
1) To give players a method to play constantly competitive games (instead of one-sided games)
2) To play in games with only other decent players

The first point I think has been acheived very well, despite the comments of players saying "SENT WINS FOR SURE" during !ihgs, most games are much more competitive (in terms of sides of equal skill) than I find in TDA, pub, or some of the mainstream leagues (IMO at least).

As for the 2nd point, what does decent mean?

A decent player is someone who doesn't drop, doesn't leave, doesn't suck, doesn't cheat, and doesn't have a poor attitude. If you find yourself a decent person in life in general than you will likely be a decent dota player as well. Does this mean if someone drops they aren't welcome? No; obviously some people might have an outburst, or drop unintentionally, that's why there are warns and warn reductions. Decency is defined in a few manners of which the following apply:
- Conformity to established standards of good or proper behavior or manners
- Appropriateness to the purpose or circumstances; suitability
- Social or moral proprieties
- the quality of being polite and respectable

What I'd like to make very clear, is that attitude IS an important factor in this league. It has always been very difficult to control and I beleive the censure system is the best way to deal with it (so far).

All of the qualities that make a dota player decent (connection, skill, attitude, etc.) can weigh in at different levels. Someone with an amazing attitude that drops everygame is not a decent player for this league. Someone with the best skill who spams all chat or harass players is not a decent player. You need to have an acceptable level in all attributes to be considered decent. Skill is actually one of the values that can be balanced for (via rating). So I don't think skill rings in as high as some of the other qualities, especially since it is the easiest one to improve (yes, it's difficult to change your attitude).

The warn system was designed to try to help filter out players who are not decent.
Theres a rating system i find interesting, will take a look at it sometime
