Initiator - Heroes that start the fight.
eg. Enigma,Treant,tide hunter..(mass disable)

Disabler - Heroes that disable the opposite team disablers/carrier.
eg.Rhasta,ES,CM. Hero that buy guinsoo/eul

Carrier - High dps(damage per second) heroes. Usual HOM+BOT built
Eg. bone uhh..

I consider any form of stun as disable.
Each hero can belong to more than one category .

Take lich for example;
-Guinsoo/eul lich make him a disabler
-Frost Nova/Chain Frost is the offensive side and the slow to the dps hero is considered as support.
-Lich can frost armour up to 3/4 allies at any point. That decent support.

King4Hao; you are definitely correct but for me, i dont see heroes like the way you do ( initiator, disabler and carrier ). for me, i see heroes the common way, Engager, tanker, supporter, and damager. i'd add in if i meet up some more from my friends / team.

As engager, similar to your initiator, it starts the fight.
As tanker, like VS and alchemist, take in dmg. ( well, duhz )
As supporter, i define supporter as a stunner and/or disabler. ( maybe many people think this way as me )
As damager, like bone and SF ( Shadow Fiend ) , with high atk and high aspd, erm duhz, ok, high dmg ~_~

This is just how i define it :/

weee; VS with a bkb, to me, is support, with swap(can say its engagement and support), and stun(damage and support). This is what i think and to others, it may not. If you think this answer of mine to you isnt good enough, how about LoA ? Surely a supporter :/
