Singtel's mio plan

Hi, i was wondering if anyone is using singtel's mio broadband plan. I was wondering if anyone have face any problem with it while playing dotA and etc.

Dc once every how long? I heard if someone in the house is using the phone, the internet will lag. How true is this?

no. If u included a Splitter u wun get dc. My dc is like every 1 mth mayb 2 -3 times nia

sometimes it might not be the router's prob haha.....tt tym i checked and i found that i have alot of error bits......the BER is high......i called singtel and they send some1 down to inspect my hse and found out that due to this old building of mine......the twisted wire pair is old and thus introduced high noise.....so we changed it and it has been lag-less since then. =D i think your area also affects the quality....the further u are, the lower the bandwidth.

think the thing u put into ur telephone line so that ppl can still call in. filter or something

i using singtel broadband plan n I don have much problems when playing dota, i havent dc-ed for a long time. but sometimes i spam internet explorers and such and close too quickly the router cannot send properly and you may dc.. thats only if you still surf the net while playing dota which not a lot of ppl do

yup i think coz wire old...last time i also keep dc,then the person come replace wire liao no more dcing =D

Most of the time constant speed depends on ur area's wiring. Do check with any neighbour who is using mio and ask if it will have any lag at night. Also, you can try unlocking the slow speed windows limits. Increases your BB speed by about 2 times. The website i forgot le. Check with HWZ for more details.
