IP conflict

hi all
im using a laptop(wireless)
and everytime someone switched on the desktop
there will bea ip conflict thing coming out
or rather
a disconnection whenever i play dota
anybody noe how to solve this
its really peace-ing me off

I think because of the internal ip setting you use for laptop and wireless is the same. So to prevent it from happening, if you are using DHCP, then don't set ip for both machines. If not then make sure the ip on both machines are different.

Example If machine A's ip is 111.111.111.1, then machine B's ip should not be 111.111.111.1 anymore. Machine b could be 111.111.111.2 or another ip that is not use by any other machine connecting to the same internal network.

lol i jus gt that yesterday "THERE IS AN IP ADDRESS CONFLICT WITH ANOTHER SYSTEM ON THE NETWORK"

if ur router support dhcp jus rr router can le.

if u using dynamic ip release and renew it in cmd 'ipconfig /release' , 'ipconfig /renew'

from what i know. dynamic ip doesnt change when u release it. most of our ip change weekly. release renew might not work. perhaps go to

Network Connections > IPv4 > rightclick Properties > Select Dynamic IP option.

or simply give your ISP a fone call. =D
