Wow another free to play MMOFPS game is coming out. Its rival, BF heroes is still in close-beta at the moment. However if u want to join Bf heroes next phase beta, you can head over to their website (http://www.battlefield-heroes.com/news/battlefield-heroes-beta-key-signup) and sign up for their beta key.
Quake Live will begin on February 24, which is tomorrow. Basically, players will not be able to get a look at the Quake III-based shooter if they are interested in it. The game is set to run on low end PCs, aiming to bring quick, intense first person shooters back into prominence.
If you are interested in taking part in the Quake Live open beta, you should click HERE (http://www.quakelive.com/) and register. No need to rush, as at the moment, you can only get wallpapers from the website, while watching a countdown leading up to tomorrow. More details will be offered at launch.
Quake Live is set to be free to play, which is quite a difference from the way first person shooters usually work. id Software is aiming to support the title through advertising in the game itself and it's saying that it will be unintrusive. The game will use the basic architecture of Quake III, which means that system requirements will be pretty low, allowing a wide variety of gamers to play and enjoy it.
