Hosting lancraft games

im using a router... Able to host on battlenet by making static ip and portforwarding... but then on lancraft cant host. I suspect it could be due to me making a manually configured ip. Any idea how to make it work? thx

i oso encountered the same problem as u snt, sadly, i still cant solve it, i heard that portforwarding other ports may help, etc 6113 , 6114, 6115 ....

i only port forwarded 6112 on the static ip i assigned to my desktop.
then make sure warcraft menu options is on 6112 be4 u host.

cos at time bnet/lancraft changes ur 6112 to 6110.

btw, you shld knw that u cant use the 192.168.x.x ip right?

if u are able to host on bnet u shouldn't have any problems hosting on lancraft. u go to ur options and check whether the post is 6112 before u hosted. go showmyip.com and see what ip issit. if it is like 192.168.xxx then i suppose u portforwarded it wrongly. i think.

i off firewall can host. But if on cannot host. Battlenet one with firewall i put exceptions can leh... why lc 1 cannot.. how to solve? thx

port 6110 to join game....6112 to host game......

add exceptions for firewall for 6112, 6110 ports and add wc.exe and lancraft.exe or watsoever exe file wc runs

make sure u didnt double port forward 6112 for the static ip u created (e.g port forward 6112 for both 192.168.1.2 and 192.168.1.3)

but seriously if u can host bnet, then lc shldnt be a prob. lastly, try turning off firewall to see if u can host, or add lancraft.exe to the exceptions list in windows firewall too.:woot:
