how do i get the black bars on left and right when i play dota

He meant to change the wide screen to normal 4:3 dimension. When using 4:3 on a wide screen the game will center with 2 blank side bar aka the black bar. LoL.

Anyway, just play around with the resolution settings until you get what you want.
