Must take some time for them to accept it. From my Infomation WCG at Korea side, they did some petition for DOTA request but yet to know anything. So i linking up with them. Unless you got better answer over WCG people. Then i dont mind letting you come take place in here, i just doing it for the Gaming Community.

u suck big time. the purpose of this website is for all those who loves dota to gather. all of us really wish that it is placed in WCG. as u can see dota is one of the most frequent game u can see in lanshop. this shows we all have the passion for it. from the help of baiming we could possibly see dota as one of the games held next year. and i could say that dota is spreading around the world at a damn fast rate.

double post. woo. if you think you can convince the WCG commitee and squeeze dota into the voting list, sure, you can always try doing it. I am just saying it's quite impossible for your project to make Dota appear in next yr WCG Int level, which you said it might have a chance. Some other idiot thinks i sux for saying the truth.We might only be able to see it on `08 voting list if your "proposal" is successful. I'm nt sure how other big compys' games are choosen. You can always try out Int compys like eswc for swifter results.

I'm sorry, but on the flipside, blizzard is rather unhappy dota has dominated WC3. And they can't ask dota to scram, cos it loses them money.

Although I personally would like to see DotA in an international level, but no one can confirm that the whole map is properly balanced.I myself think some aspects of it are rather rigged.

Even the standard warcraft 3 game might be rigged in some way, say maybe orcs are rigged, but there is an option for both sides to use orc, so it is settled. As for dota, certain heroes just overpower some, and there is only one of them.

It's not just that blizzard dont allows DotA to be created. It's they can't. Mainly, the whole idea of DotA is based on warcraft. Also, IceFrog is just another mapmaker out there with no abilities to make a standalone game. If they do, companies like Square Enix, The creators of the anime 'The Slayers', and blizzard etc. will sue them like nuts.

Although this has been discussed repetitively, it is still good to have the argument on. Who knows?

Its not easy for Blizzard to accept DOTA as a Gaming Level but you guy can see CPL already starting doing DOTA as a Competition Event through Prize money is not as high as Counterstrike Game but i believe time will come. Its the same when 5 years ago Counterstrike prize money was quite low. I believe its a hope for the Asia to really see a major event happening around Asia. I not doing it for no reason, even is impossible to make it happen. I sure believe theres way to do it, sponser do take note the amount of people playing DOTA today but for them to sponser or even make event for us. We need people to step out to do the request first, in order the event will come.

If WCG dont really wish to add in DOTA to their game on 2007, there always 2008 and if CPL already doing the first step. I believe ESWC or some other major event will come in place too so there always a way to make it happen but i need you guy to support.

Ya WCG Asian and WCG do have DOTA but its just a small compy if i not wrong. In order to make it a big one next year, guy i wish you all do email me to do some petition. Theres no good thing for me either, just doing for the Community for good. In Counterstrike i quite famous over there, but at DOTA i got problem getting to know you guy so please foward me your email with your team status there thank cheers. For CS its simple for me because already got a few major compy next year but DOTA quite hard to do a major one unless i got you guy to support the petition next year so i can make it happen for you guy.

That's not much of a reason. It doesn't exactly matter whether icefrog wants to call himself part of an official company. If perhaps there is some deeper implication that I'm not getting, please elaborate.

The main reason why WCG MAIN doesn't hold DotA is because as a team game, CS takes the spot, and resources won't allow for it to be easy for there to be 2 team games (5 comps per team as opposed to 1 comp per player).

They probably cant accept a custom game being more popular than their ladder.
CS is also a mod,yet is highly supported by valve.

Also,dota cannot get into top gaming event is due to the longer game play.
Viewers will get bored watching team farming/deny in the first ten minute.
There big gap in skill level.
In US, it always coL,check6,verge and in Europe it forever MYM,Say_Plz that is winning.
In Singapore,it forever zenith that is winning.
The huge number of clans that is competitive in CS is what keeping it alive till date.

Leaver and not so nice gaming platform is what keeping competitive players away.
It hard for public players to reach the skill level of top clans unless they know them RL.
The in house drafting is always among the top teams.
IHCS of Europe and IHL of America is limited to top clans only.
That is to say,there no way a average player can play with a elite player and will most likely stay in public for ages.
Remember, when you are playing with team skill level around/below your standard,you improve little to none.

There need to be more team who is sponsored. Right now,only those sponsored team can afford to travel overseas to play.
Low price money,high travel costs and you are not guaranteed a win,no one will take the risk.

Also,the different style of the Europe/America/Singapore/Malaysia/Philippines is what preventing a dota game in WCG Finals.

Dota will become popular once the Korean quit their starcraft and chaos :P
