Doom is not really that cheap in 1 v 1 situation, but rhasta is really quite cheap, the cyclone or sheep trapping with ward is really quite cheap lol but it makes up for rhasta slow movement speed.

#1. A pro techies.
Reason :
- Forces enemies to buy wards and plants them then changes lane.
- Forces enemies to buy gem once techies buys necronomicon(lvl3).
- Cheapo if ward/mine @ correct places.
- Late game techies(lvl16+) can kill every single creep in every wave.
- 90% chance gets first blood.

#2. A KOTL w/ good micro w/ refresher.
Reason :
- The creeps just keep coming.
- Stays @ base to farm/push. No threat to hero(kotl).

I think it depends on who u're playing with. Wards aren't so expensive if you're a KOTL or Sniper (i.e. gosu farmer) and I'll be sure to get a gem if I'm a str hero like Spiritbreaker or invis/ww hero. Techies becomes almost totally useless if the opponent knows how to counter.
