Singapore - This weekend, we will be on our final leg for our Ultimate Street Fighter Challenge. Only ONE champion will emerge, representing Singapore during the Grand Finals event taking place in Korea, officially organised by Capcom. This will be the ultimate glory and honor for all Street Fighter lovers and frantics alike. This Saturday, there will be a final qualifying stage with only 20 slots in all. If you missed this opportunity, then we don't know how long will it will be before good deal drop by us again.
So here are info for this Saturday's event at Cineleisure.
Event will starts at 2pm. All participants and those who wish to do last minute registration will need to be there 30mins earlier. The event venue is located at the outdoor space outside of Cineleisure's World of Sport retail shop, we are under a big white tentage so it will be hard to miss.
The Ultimate Qualifier: 20 slots will be open for registration. It could be done both online or manual onsite, slots allocation will be first come first serve basis. The 20 participants will be split evenly as much as we can into 5 groups. Each group of 4 participants will then play a round robin format (one match best of 3 each opponent). A match win will get 2 points, a draw get 1 point and loss get non. So best performer in each group will get a slot into the finals. If tie, we will look at the face off results then follow by total wins. If still draws then a tie breaker would be played to determine the final winner to qualify into the finals.
Finals' Mini League Stage: 5 added to the earlier 11 qualified winners from previous two preliminaries will be draw randomly into 4 groups of 4 this time. Again these groups with each containing 4 participants, and each of them will play a round robin format (one match best of 3 each opponent). A match win will get 2 points, a draw get 1 point and loss get non. This time 2 top performer in each group will get a slot into the finals. If tie, we will look at the face off results then follow by total wins. If still draws then a tie breaker would be played to determine the final winner to qualify into the last stage.
Finals' KO Stage: 16 top winners from each group will now face off one another in single elimination rounds. The champion crown will then goes to the last survival in the KO stage.
How to register?
Online Registration Instruction -
Step one:
Make payment to reserve a slot for yourself. Online registration will starts immediately. Just do a bank transfer or an ATM transfer to:
POSB/DBS Bank Account No. 403-19445-0
Then scan/photo capture it and send the picture along when you are submitting your registration form in Step two.
Slots will be reserved with payment and then locked in after complete registration form (without error or account info missing/error) is received. It's also on first come first serve priority basis.
Step two:
Participant must have a valid DotaSG account. Those who have not created an account before click on "Register" to create one immediately. Just follow instructions and key in the necessary information to set up your account. Later check your email for the verification email and follow the instructions given to activate your account.
Ensure that the needed Name, IC and mobile info are entered correctly during account creation.
For those who have existing account in DotaSG, click "UserCP" and then look for "Edit your Details" to ensure those info are there and is correct.
Note, do not use or create multiple account for any participant as we will check all participants' data against our database. Anyone found to be create for a person with multi accounts, that cause their team's registration be put at the bottom of the priority list.
Step three:
Download the form and fill in all required fields. Ensure all information are correct and email it to Dotasg_admin@hotmail.com (remember to add the underscore between the DotaSG and Admin words when keying in our email address)

Upon of receiving the registration form , when after checking and slot confirmation process for any team, if found to be under the following situation, :
(a) Any participant allocated the slot, if without producing official proof for not turning up during tournament or last-minute change of any participant after deadline, will be blacklisted and barred from DotaSG and future events.

We are again is going to have some Street Fighter cosplayers to mingle with the crowd starting from late afternoon till our event is over. So for those who want to take a picture keeps with your favorite SF character in real life, do not hesitate and come join in the fun. You can take a picture for keeps and also enjoy the exciting matches that would be going on.

Next there is the lucky draw from E2Max. This is for all who had already purchased or will be purchasing their copy of SSF4 from E2Max before the end of this event. One lucky person will walk away with the top lucky draw prize of Xbox360. Of course you can purchase your copy of SSF4 there to get a last chance to enter into that draw. Lastly, at certain intervals of the day we will have some casual stage games going on for all visitors. Just raise your hand or be random pick to play and you can win some cool prizes home. In previous events, we had movie tickets, music soundtracks and timezone game cards, each with $5 gaming credits in it. So come down to find out what we have in store for you.
