Singapore - At the west side of sunny Singapore, there is an emergent of a new battleground known as Gamerz Alliance cybercafe . Gamerz Alliance cybercafe had recently started operation at West Coast Plaza. They would like to showcase and introduce themselves to gamers by generously sponsoring this DotA tournament, also it will be a great chance to link up to the gamers and encourage pro gaming and hopefully can become a regular event for the community. Fresh battles on this new battleground will take place on the 7th and 8th of Aug and with total of SG$800 cash prizes as war bounty to be won.
20 teams will be split into 5 per group and battle it out in a mini league format. Then top team in each group will proceed on to the next round into the final KO stage. So if you want to find out more, read on for the event information.
Event Information
Date: 7th - 8th Aug
Daily: 10am - 6pm
Registration: Now till 4th Aug 2010
Fee: SG $50 per team (note: 50% discount for team with more than 3 Gamerz Alliance cybercafe member)
Slots: 20 maximum (10 reserved first for Gamerz Alliance cybercafe's member priority sign ups)
Format: Mini League to KO.
Tournament Rules
As long as the mouse or keyboard brought any participant are of USB connection type, then they are allowed to use them, return all default device(s) put aside after your match if you are using certain self brought device(s). Another personal device could also be brought and used by players are headsets.
Please note that there are strictly no installation of third-party program or driver. If anyone found to plug their usb drive/card reader the team would be immediately disqualified whether you have or have not install or run any program from it. All default program(s) or driver(s) will be used if they are already officially installed on all the competition machine.
Once each match is over, the teams are to quickly pack up and allow the next team to come in and take over for their following match.
Game Map: 6.67c
Win Condition: Completely destroys opponent's World Tree/Frozen Throne.
A coin toss will determine which team will get to choose either "Draft First" or "Pick Side First". The other team will be given the option that was not chosen.
Drafting: DotaSG Draft
•-CM drafting format.
•Team that chooses to draft first will start with the hero removal process similar to normal -AP drafting.
•Each side takes turn to removes up to 4 heroes, in total 8 heroes will be removed by both teams.

Disconnection and Game Saves
•As a basic guide, saves are advisable to be carried out every 15 mins interval. Other saves in non 15min mark are allowed if both sides agree.
•If in a situation where there are no agreements on which save game to use for reload, the closest 15min mark save game will be used.
•Leaders are to communicate on the saving of games and to avoid abusing game saving.
•If PC restarts/hangs causing the saved games to be lost on that PC, then (a)we will ask both teams whether if they wants to continue, if not then (b) if both team want to remake the game, if not again, then (c) Marshal will make a final decision which must not be challenged by both teams.
Tree Trapping (Disqualification)
•Intentional trapping of opponent heroes in tree indefinitely is disallowed.
Game Bug Abuse (Warning or Disqualification)
•Intentional abusing or use of any kind of bugs, known or unknown, is disallowed - Intentions and knowledge of bugs will be judged by Marshals, and the judgement is not to be contended with.
•Abusing team-using bugs to gain battle advantage will be disqualified immediately.
Hacks = (Disqualification)
•Maphacking, custom kick or any exploitation program of any kind are disallowed.
Blocking (Warning or Disqualification)
•Using spells or any method of blocking to attempt to create a long duration of creep blocking is not allowed.
•Especially when the intention of the blocking is to create huge mass of creeps (Mass: more than 3 creep waves).
•Short duration of blocking by spells like Fissure or Sprout are allowed, creep pulls are allowed.
Pooling (Warning or Disqualification)
•Hero sharing allowed for crow sharing, upgrading of crow by teammates are also allowed.
•Sharing of sharable items is allowed.
•Items belonging to a disconnected hero is not allowed to be removed at all times.
•If at time of teammate disconnection, all original items belonging to the disconnected hero are to be returned to the original owner.
Non sportsmanship (Warning or Disqualification)
•Tournament crews and marshals are to be respected at all times, do not challenge any of the final decision made.
•Finish your game first as you can always appeal via your team leader to our crews later inside the tournament Q&A section.
•Vulgarities, taunting, racist remarks, political or religious remarks will result in immediate warning.
•Communication between both sides in game are to be initiated by team leader only during game when necessary.
•Any unsportsmanlike behavior will not be tolerated.
•Substituting of players that are not registered in the team, if caught and proven will lead to immediate disqualification.
•Delaying in starting of game on time after given instruction by event marshal/staff to start or not being punctual for the match.
Saving Replays (Warning)
•If any team did anything unnecessary which causes a game save to be impossible, then they will be warned or disqualified.
Items
•No restriction.
Backdoor
•No restriction.
Heroes
•No restriction.
Warnings
•2 warnings given of the same will cause a consideration of disqualification.
•3 warnings of different nature will cause a consideration of disqualification.
Disqualification
•Immediate ejection from the tournament, all members in the team will be blacklisted. Duration of blacklisting will be determined by DotaSG.
Appealing
•Bring up your appeal to any head/game marshal when you complete your game and we will attend to it ASAP. Once after you have started your next game it means you have agreed to the previous game results and decision will thus be final.

Step one:
Participant must have a DotaSG user account. Those who have not created an account at all previously can click on "Register"option found on top of our page to create one immediately. Just follow instructions and key in the necessary information to set up your account. Later check your email for the verification email and follow the instructions given to activate your account.
Ensure that the needed Name, IC and mobile info are entered correctly during account creation.
For those who have existing account in DotaSG, click "UserCP" and then look for "Edit your Details" to ensure those info are there and are correct.
Note, do not use or create multiple account for any participant as we will check all participants' data against our database. Anyone found to have created a new account after they are ranked will risk having themselves barred or the teams registration being rejected. Also no team should have member that are double teaming or are banned from tournament. If found, the slot would be dropped from the team and given to the next team in line. Teams that does not manage to grab the first 20 available slots will be put in waiting list and be given slot that are being released. 10 slots are allocated open to everyone first and 10 slots are reserved for Gamerz Alliance cybercafe's members priority sign ups. Step Two:
Making payment via manual or online. Below are the options available. Those going for discount and priority sign ups, only manual payment will be accepted. For others, both options are fine.

Head down to Gamerz Alliance cybercafe at West Coast Plaza and pay at the counter. Remember to fill into the receipt all the needed details (Name, IC, Mobile and Team Name) and obtain one copy of it after payment is made.

If at any POSB/DBS bank or ATM, you can make manual transfer/bank in of payment to our account. Then take a photo or scan capture of the receipt and send in with your team reg form by email.
