Any Comp Building Pros?

I am a total noob at computer building and I am going to ask a pro friend of mine to help me out. Anyone knows of good parts to buy because I'm making a fast computer that's suited for gaming. The only thing I know is that Razor Mouse and Mousepad pwns.

LOL. though i am not good at computer building. i can give u one tip. take one day off and go sim lim square and walk all the levels and collect all the brochures. it will be as thick as a book after walking the whole mall. compare prices and see what this shop offers and the other doesnt.

Thanks Dom. Told you I was a noob. I'll make my way down one day next month. Anyway, I'm rather impatient for my things so I don't know whether I can tahan 1.5hours++ shopping in Sim Lim.

shopping in sim lim. the feeling is like overwhelming. so many ppl carrys the same interest like u. and most of them are friendly, willing to help etc. therefore the trip there is worth experiencing

just give you budget to the peeps @ hardwareplace @ 6th level , just outside the elevator

they will gibe you the best machine for the buck you can afford

Lolx. Ahha. I know a little bout gaming rigs. mayb I can help u. To me, Main thingy bout a rigs are the rams and VGA cards. Now the design matters too. It all depends on ypur budget.

Total around $2300, you still have $700 to buy a monitor, Casing, psu, speaker, mouse, keyboard and cooling stuffs. If you want something top of the line then maybe $700 not enough for the rest. Like Razer Keyboard, copperhead, 5.1 speakers. Then maybe change graphic card to 7900GT 512mb ($450+).

Although $3000 is enough to build those extreme PC, but still it is alot to play with. Normally i help friend build their budget only 1.2k -2k nia, but fast enough to run most games.

yup, my friend made up a list with godlike hardware and it only cost like 1.8k
2k can get E6600 instead of E6300 for processor bah. then just nice i think.

i onli got 400 hundred dollar to spare n a intel pentium 3 730mhz com wif 320mb ram of memory ,a nvidia riva tnt2 model 64 video card ....so nid how much money to make into pentium 4 com tat can play dota without lagness??? nid pro to tell mi the names of parts to buy....nid buy new mother board to support new processer or ??? pardon mi..noob in com...^^...i use dxdiag to c my system....got ani oter way to noe more about my com system??

Sim lim got sell those air-con CPUs.
not cheap, seriously. cost around 800 w/o monitor etc, maybe im wrong with the price also, the last time i checked was 800SGD.
