1. Go to Start - Run. Type in "cmd" and hit Enter. (no quotes). When the Command Prompt screen opens up, type in "ipconfig" and hit enter (no quotes). The line that says "IP Address" and "Default Gateway" are what you will be using.

2. Go into http://<defaultgatewayhere>, e.g http://192.168.11.1 (http://%27http://192.168.11.1%27)

3. Login to your router. Generally the account name is the company that made your router (Netgear, Linksys, DLink, Motorola etc etc), and the password is "admin" or "1234". If you don't remember, you will have to consult your manual for the password. For me, My account name is "-blank-" and my password is "admin". Btw I am using a linksys router.

4. Navigate around your router and find "Virtual Server" or "Port Forwarding".

5. Set the incoming and outgoing ports to 6112-6119 (might have to make seperate exceptions for each one) and set the Protocol to TCP AND UDP.

6. If it asks for "Program Name" or something to that sort, put Battle.net (as 6112 will let you host on SC as well). If not, skip this step and continue on.

7. If it asks for the IP address, refer back to step one and use the "IP Address" that was listed when you ran IPConfig.

8. Click "Apply" or "Save", and restart your router if it asks you to.

9. Try hosting a game and having a friend join. ENJOY!

Below are a list or router makers and their ip. password and such.

Try checking your ingame port under:

Options -> Gameplay -> Make sure the port is 6112.

LAN Emulators like YAWLE change the port to 6110 AUTOMATICALLY so you have to manually change it back to 6112 to host on Bnet.

Edit: I believe that the name that you associate with ports 6112 - 6119 in your port forwarding settings is irrelevant. Hence, it should not affect the portforwarding process.

For vista users switch in between e compatibilty of xp2 from properties or allow prog thru UAC or disable it, it works for alot progs regarding prog compatibility/running issues. Vista have diff home network structure but shdnt affect ur hosting , try using enabling dmx plus on ur router if applicable.

Did you use a valid cd key? You might want to double check your connection to see if it's really up, and not *Limited Connectivity*.

eh correct me if i am wrong but i dun think nid to forward so many ports lolx...cause war3 uses port 6112 to host nia and btw, 6110 u host ppl can see but cant join its the same wen u host for LAN ppl can see game but cant join.
and a faster way to acess your router's page is to type the word home in your adress bar and press enter, dunnoe if it works for every router but works for mine, i using 2wire singnet connection =/
