Okay my budget for a computer is 3k and I'm getting a pro to build it if you read the other thread. With modem included, can any pros state their best configurations? (Everything included within the price)

Thanks, just tell me the best that I can get with 3k.

What do you intend to do with the comp?
Graphic/ram-intensive rendering/programming?
or just for high level gaming.
For hard drive, unless you intend to watch DVD/store photos,160gbsata is more than enough for normal users.
Just be sure to get a good cooling system.

Whatever the term is la, lol. I use cable. Anyway, I'm using it for gaming like you said. Would prefer you guys to list down the parts and what's the fastest connection available in sg available down as well.

Thanks again.

If you are using cable, you can
either re-contract to get the wireless setup(router+adapter)
If not, just buy it from store in SLS. Make sure your cable modem is able to support it will do.

For home/personal,you can take a look at starhub 100mbps or singnet ones.

i think pac net is better than hub or net. both always fighting thus very laggy when playing against hub or net and dc-es alot when they pms.

True true, pacnet not much delay or lag when playing with all 3 kinds of hosts. 3k can't buy you an alien but .. it can certainly set you up well. And if you want a second opinion about your comp specs other than your pro, maybe asking about it in hardware zone's forum will get you something you may appreciate.

ps: like what king said.
