Drafting

I am new to this forum, and as the thread title suggests, i am quite new to -cm mode and drafting, and i'd like to know how i should choose my ban and picks at the start of a draft game. For example, how do i counter a particular strategy, and how do i look out for one? It'd be nice to have some advice, as a newcomer to competitive DotA.

technically, in draft games we can assume that both teams are well collaborated players that have close to perfect teamwork and can perform tactics that are planned ahead.

Bearing this in mind, we would draft heroes that contribute to a combo rather than one that perform only in isolated fights.
Pugna is very commonly banned and used as it is one of the few heroes that have spells that can hit heroes and its mana ward disrupts enemy combos badly
Doom bringer is often used to counter situations whereby the main player of the opponent team is one spellcaster such as storm spirit or shadown shaman
Shadow Fiend is used by skilled players for best early game damage output.

hahaha. know who your teammates are pick what they can use.
You dont need to execute a perfect strategy, and fail cus all your teammates cant use the heroes! hahaha play to your strengths..
