new rules and regulations

i feel that dotasg needs some rules for spammers. Recently the huge influx of spammers is really irritating, they make all the details u want to know harder to find and flame each other once in a while.

so i suggest the following :
1) no double posting/triple posting and so-on

2)no replying to a topic within like 1-2 minutes of the person's last post. Might as well take into a chatroom for something like that >.<

3)no trolling/insults/profanities


for the following offences i suggest the following punishments:
-first offence: warning
-second offence: disallowed to post for a day
-third or more offence: disallowed for more than a week

4)To accomdate the spammers we have , the admins/mods can open up a spam section for them to post in which normal rules dont apply

5) if there isnt enough active admins/mods, get new ones! :)

Even if he is a nobody,as long as they are offering sensible advise,dotasg team should take a consideration upon them.

Double/triple posting should be avoided unless the words count too long.
Flaming /racism remark should be strictly prohibited.
Trolling is ahh..ok as long it not off topic.

As for how strict the rule are and what the definition of spamming will leave to the admin to decide.
An fine example of not having rule is what happened during the flame wars of Clan Knight and Clan Slz.
Even if shawn decide not to have the rule in and you guys can go on with those spamming spree,but i guess this community won't grow much and will eventually die out.
Not many people like a community where people could flame and spam whenever they want,unless they are flamer themselves.
The best thing is to have some basic code of conduct yet having the freedom to enjoy a close knitted community.(somehow like a kampung).

I concur. Although I believe only the more extreme forms of spamming, like what King4hao has mentioned (just dots or similar), should be punished. There's no harm in trying to liven up the forums once in awhile. (:

No worries, we are aware of the situation. A little friendly spamming is okay, but if it went overboard we will take actions against offenders.

However, things like disrespect against any religion or racist remarks will not be tolerate.

If you all find something offending can always make a report to us. Our guys are pretty fast in reacting to reporting from you all.
