Wrath (scourge) - Warlock THD Sandking Visage Skeletonking

CAPL Premier week 1 - Titans vs Wrath. A tale of two birds. Wait, perhaps it was four birds.

Once upon a time there was a nest upon the top of the World Tree, where all flying creatures lived in peace. Atop it lived the Queen of Pain, along with her Lord, Abaddon, and her King Leoric (unfortunately the Sandking was far too short for her liking). Viper too lived there, along with his pals Chen and Bear, all friends from the IBNV Club, short for "I've been nerfed in version 6.40".

On the other side of the nest lived Visage and Jakiro, good friends with the green skinned outcast known as the Warlock. In perhaps an accidental far too vigorous snort of laughter, Jakiro one day accidentally burnt the nest down.
And so it was decreed by the Queen of Pain that Jakiro and his friends were to be casted away from the nest immediately.

Much dissatisfaction ensued, especially between the royal couple, Leoric especially reluctant to let the Warlock be banished from the nest without paying him back the few thousand gold he owed, most from bets that there was no way that rock falling from the sky was ever going to kill him. So things got violent, and King Leoric bitchslapped the Queen of Pain, and left with Visage, Jakiro and the Warlock, seeking refuge in the home of his good friend the Sandking by the frozen throne.

Leoric and his gang of exiles plotted and schemed, and all finally agreed that if they were not able to enjoy their nest, neither could the Queen of Pain and all who lived there. They were henceforth known as "Wrath", determined to bring down the World Tree and the nest on its top.

Meanwhile, the Queen of Pain, joined by Viper, Chen, Bear, and LoA, came to know themselves as "Titans", the later half being an extension added to its original name. So it was Titans defending the World Tree with QoP, Viper, Chen, Bear, and LoA, up against Wrath by the Frozen Throne with Visage, THD, Skeleton King, Sandking, and Warlock.

As Visage patrolled the highest road near his spirit tower, he came across the Syllabear. There was much green stuff being flung at the Syllabear, and much green stuff immobilising the Visage from the ground. While bot heroes were unable to gain much gold or seize a clear advantage, they did a very good job of stopping each other from getting much gold. For a few levels anyway.

Meanwhile in the middle lane, Viper met a fellow green-skinned creature in the form of the Warlock. There was once again much flinging of projectiles at each other, but witnesses have said this battle, for the first few levels at least, and other than that moment when Viper reached level 6 and forced the Warlock to run to the safety of his tower with barely any HP left but leaving the Viper with little courage to chase further, was rather boring.

There was much commotion on the bottom lane though, as the Queen of Pain, accompanied by the Lord of Avernus, met up with the THD, Sandking, and her well known acquaintance, the Skeleton King. The situation looked rather dire for the QoP at first, but the Holy Knight hastily provided relief for the QoP and LoA couple, bringing in a Satyr Soulstealer and leaving the Sandking and Skeleton King cursing at their lack of intelligence to keep their mana (and apparently their wives too).

A clarity potion and about two levels later, King Leoric decides that perhaps he should actually do something with that defiant Lord that seems to be having things on with his Queen, and brutally pushes past the QoP, landing a Storm Bolt on the LoA. His buddy the Sandking is pleased to follow with a Burrowstrike and the THD as well with a Dual Breath. The LoA shields himself, and skips away with 100 HP. He gets caught by the THD's Ice Path but at level 1 it does absolutely nothing, leaving the Skeleton King, Sandking, and THD, low on mana, only at half hp from taking hits from Aphotic Shield and Scream of Pain and creeps, as well as feeling rather stupid.

The LoA runs back to heal and returns to be welcomed by Chen's newest pet, a Centaur Khan. Not too many moments later, Aphotic Shield, Death Coil, Scream of Pain, Test of Faith, and a well placed stomp from Chen's said pet, nets Chen first blood on the Sandking. The Skeleton King has no time to mourn the loss of his buddy as Chen takes him down as well. THD flees all the way back to his fountain.

The Holy Knight then travels to the middle lane with his said pet, and in the midst of much green stuff flying around for both Titans and Wrath, manages to assist Viper in taking down the Warlock.

Team Wrath now set their sights on the birds of team Titans. Viper is met with problems in the middle lane as Skeleton King and Sandking routinely patrol around to help the Warlock take down or at least bring Viper to very low HP. Viper's farming is greatly controlled.

The Queen of Pain is also left to bemoan the worthlessness of her loyal subjects, the Lord and the Knight, who fail to protect her or aid her in her quest for gold. Many deaths and a general lack of free lanes to farm lead the Queen of Pain into farming at a rather slow rate.

Alas, things are not looking up for the birds on the side of Wrath either.
The Visage, taking greater efforts in his quest for gold than the Queen of Pain, buys himself a Hand of Midas at the 20 minute mark. However, the many immobilising roots from the Spirit Bear as well as a few good backstabs from the Holy Knight leaves the Visage nearly penniless for a long period of time.

THD perhaps is the only flying thing with a brighter future, but mostly because his past was ruined by perpetually staying on the losing side of a
3v3 in bottom lane.

With all the birds not farming well, it is the Syllabear from Titans that seems to be making the most of this situation, abusing the Visage on his lane and farming very quickly.

It is at this point that perhaps Titans and Wrath agree that since their flying heroes are all hungry to obtain gold, perhaps everyone would be happier simply farming gold and not killing each other. What follows is a long period of peace, with neither side doing much killing but a lot of farming. Syllabear appears from the long period of peace weilding in one hand, the Aegis of the Immortal, a shield protecting him, and in the other, a legendary Golden Sword. All of team Wrath gasps in horror before realising that the said sword is Radiance, not the Divine Rapier. Viper appears with a BKB and Crystalys, and QoP struggles a while before getting her Skadi.
Visage manages to farm himself a Reaver and a Relic.

The peace maintains itself even as team Titans, bringing to bear their full force (pun not intended), begins to push towards the Frozen Throne via the top lane. As they approach the base tower, they finally realise that team Wrath is busy ignoring them and has been working towards their World Tree from the bottom lane. The towers in the base are reduced to half health, but neither side is willing to give in and break the peace.

Finally, the ever self-sacrificial THD begins a teleport towards the half-destroyed tower in his base. A well placed combination of fire and ice brings msot of the attackers to very low HP, forcing them to back off, though not before taking the tower down.

The ever noble Syllabear then teleports back to defend his Ancient Protector, but neglects the fact that his HP is in the red, and promptly gets taken down. Wrath gleefully takes down the bottom Ancient Protector without much resistance, but suddenly Syllabear appears again, leading the forces of team Titans, revived by the Aegis. They successfully fend off Titans, and then proceed to cross from one end of the map to the other to finish off the middle base tower in the World Tree's base, before being repelled away by the newly revived heroes of Wrath.

Wrath puts the pressure back on Titans. Without giving Titans much room, Wrath immediately pushes back, aiming at the World Tree via the middle lane.
King Leoric charges alone towards the base Ancient Protector perhaps a little too quickly though, and is just as quickly taken down. His one death is not in vain though. Titans are quickly hit by a chain of Infernal to Epicentre to Macropyre, leaving all their heroes half dead as the Skeleton King suddenly springs back to life.

Never satisfied with leaving their enemies only half dead, Wrath proceeds to chase the heroes of Titans all the way back to their fountain. Things here start to get messy. The Queen of Pain blinks around causing as much pain as possible, but her companion the Syllabear and her other winged friend Viper, they are taken down far too easily. The excessive whining of the QoP though, is starting to show its effects on the health of her enemies.

As Syllabear, his Aegis of the Immortal shattered, decides to buy himself out from the grave, the forces of Wrath, suffering from excessive ear-drum damage from the Queen of Pain, is forced to make a hasty exit back towards the Frozen Throne, leaving the base of Titans almost untouched.

But no, wait! They're back!

No sooner have they gone back to heal that Wrath strikes back once more. In full force, five heroes of team Wrath head back to the middle lane. Skeleton King once again charges towards the World Tree and is hastily taken down, but this time he laughs to his grave as Macropyre and Epicentre proceed to catch almost every single hero in Titans. As Leoric pulls himself back out from the grave, he accompanies Visage to mop up every single hero in team Titans.

The middle lane ancients fall, with no one from team Titans to defend it, and almost all of team Wrath still there to take it down. There is an aura of despair in the air as team Wrath goes towards the World Tree with team Titans unable to field any heroes to defend it.

The World Tree falls, and the Queen of Pain, having lost her nest, remarries King Leoric and they live happily ever after by the Frozen Throne.

i am jus surprise a better farmed team could lost....
If you notice, it just comes down to the last engage, wrong focusfire target, unused items, and wrong positioning by some heroes results in them dying too fast. A waste :\

Experiment reporting! Try new things k! I should try following through the format at the start, weaselled out after first few paragraphs cause I actually had time constraints *eeee*.

@quincy: The commentating or the battlereporting? Commentating is on the fly so it's much harder to change, BR'ing not so much.
