Eternity and Flowersalt Proceed to IGC NYP Finals

Teams Eternity and flowersalt proceed on to the Intel Gaming Cup 2007 Nanyang Polytechnic finals on Saturday where they will play each other for the right to proceed on to the grand finals in March.

Eight teams played out their matches today at the Intel Gaming Cup 2007 Nanyang Polytechnic competition, with Eternity and flowersalt emerging as the top two teams for the day. They will go on to play each other for the right to be one of two teams who will proceed on to the IGC 2007 grand finals on Saturday, 27th of January 2007.

The wet and cold weather outside did nothing to dampen the mood of the spectators who crowded into the competition venue. They viewed the matches 'live' on plasma screens and listened intently to the live commentary provided by Joey and Christine, casters from Rapture Gaming Network, and cheered during the clashes in the match.

Tomorrow will see the remaining eight teams play out their matches, with the top two playing against each other on Saturday, along with Eternity and flowersalt to determine who will proceed on to the grand finals.

I found today's casters to be quite good actually. Very entertaining and personal, similar to colour commentary in sports. Would be better if they manage to fit in more technical details. They're new anyway, need some time to learn the ropes and brush up their skills. :D
