Singapore, Asia - Today is day 3 of TGX 2011, later in the day we will bring you more updates. But first here are some quick overview from our brief visit to the event on Day 2. First setting foot at Singapore Expo, it is quite noticable that the crowd this year seemed to be a little stronger than the previous years. The traffic towards the TGX 2011 hall was pretty packed. Upon entering the hall, a good crowd indeed gathered around the various booths right from doorway area. The exhibition's booth vendors are all gathered in the front with the tournament part at the back of the hall.
Game publishers/distributors in Singapore have set up impressive booth in the hall, with rest of the IT/Games product vendors filling up rest of the place. Not only can visitors purchase some of the IT products or services offered there, they are treated with many game activities that anyone could participate in and try to win a little something back. The Dragon Nest booth is the most majestic of all which almost is like a mini tournament area of its own with a video wall casting the PvP matches in their booth. Garena too has a large area setup with fun-filled activities based on their game titles, winners gets to walk away with various pc peripherals.

Moving ahead to the tournament area where all the tournament actions are; Live matches are played out on the stage right beside the tournament arena at the back of the hall. This year, the whole tournament area was pretty well-lit giving it a fresh look and feel; Comparing to the earlier TGX days with dark gaming area or stage concept this definitely is more pleasing to the eyes. For us, the keys activities we are keen in were the tournaments. We caught some quick feedback from participants and there were mix feeling among them. Many felt excited being the first time in such major gaming event, however the veterans have usual feedback of timing issue which we found out due to some minor technical issues encountered. But overall, all it is still good as general visitors are pleased with the whole event.
