Dont get the wrong idea, this is not specifically a clan/team recruitment.
To start it off, ill describe the idea of this recruitment ;
The main aim (as well as the first goal) ;
is to create a strategy forum which is user friendly. For that, i need the help of 'passionate' dota players who has a broad knowledge of Dota strategy and mechanics. That said, you defintely need to be a frequent visitor of dota-allstars forum to know much of the stuffs. Unfortunately, while the information there is very useful and most of the times 'dead accurate', there are amongst them irrelavant comments and noob articles which makes searching for information more time consuming. Hence, this task of sieving out all the relevant information and compress it into something like a dota encyclopedia will be the main aim.
Most of these falls under the 'Mechanics' category. Once this has been achieved (or even concurrently),
2nd Aim ;
we will expand on the Strategies section. The reason why mechanics comes first is simply because, if you dont know the technology, then you cant invent a new invention. Similarly, if you dont know how a thing functions, then you will have a hard time inventing something out of it.
Ultimate goal;
Once we have secured a forum with considerable content, we will then head on to expand our membership. Well of course, with all the effort put in, you need people to read your works and appreciate it. That said, it is an all out clan recruitment. The knowledge base we have created will be used to spearhead the clan training and with that intention, to go into competitive Dota. This is a rather step by step approach and there is no rush in doing so. Hence, from the beginning, i never stated that i want to recruit players for a dota team, train for 3 months and wish for a 1st place.
Depending on the size of the clan, it could vary from 1-2 dota teams. It could even be up to 5 if all works fine and we find the proper people. This is specifically targetted to those people who can contribute to the 1st and 2nd goal (ie forming the forum). However, for those who are interested in being in a team you are welcomed too. However, you must be inclined to read and learn from the forums, cos that is what its there for. You can contribute in other ways such as testing of strategies etc. And along the way, we will from time to time, play draft matches to try out strategies even when the forum construction is in progress.
This is a tough job to commit to. However, commitment is actually not of major concern here. You can stop at any time, you work will still remain. And you can come back any time to contribute more. Thus said, there is no compulsory timing for you to be online (and suffer termination from the team etc) for games and trainings.
There WILL still be fixed timings to which members are encouraged to be online (Bnet : USWest , or if your are LAN, msn etc). Most likely everyday from 10pm - 12. The purpose of this fixed timing is for us to make full use of time to effectively test out on new stuff and/or train on teamwork. Rather than spending 4-6 hrs everyday on brainless pub games.
Lastly, there will be this issue of affliation problem. If you are coming from another clan/team, likely chance is that you will have dual team/clan. You have to choose either one to begin with and i hope that you are a trustworthy person. It is not encouraged for you to join us if you already have a clan you like.
Dota has been running for more than 4 years. And will not die off for at least another 3 years. Your work will remain useful for the community (will even consider to make it public if and only if the conditions are right)
Having said enough, if anyone is interested,
pls PM me
If you have any questions to ask, post it here so i can reply to everyone.
But if you intend to write one liner comments to increase your post count, then you belong to this group ;
....there are amongst them irrelavant comments and noob articles which makes searching for information more time consuming....
