Well, they are having a DotA competition at NUS. Here are some details of the compy from their website.

"The SingTel GXL Gaming Cup NUS Finals will be taking place from the 6th to 8th of March 2007 at NUS.

The SingTel GXL Gaming Cup NUS Finals will battle it out to see which team is the best Defence of the Ancient team in NUS, where the top 2 teams will go on to represent NUS in the SingTel GXL Gaming Cup against other universities and polytechnics.

Date: 6th to 8th March 2007
Venue: Science Foyer, NUS (IES Bazaar)
Registration fee:
$3 for members of IES / NUSEGIG
$4 for non-members

The game being played for the tournament is DOTA. Alongside the tournament, they will be running a AP/SP free for all compy and a Kills/Denies competition.

Prizes
1st Prize: 5 PCTV worth $90 each
2nd Prize: 2 creative XFi sound card + cash

there are around 8 teams joining. its for NUS students only and the 1st round has already been played yesterday evening. it is quite a small scale event compared to public tournaments outside. but the organizer manage to find in some great sponsors for the hardwares though. kudos~
