Troll warlords (cuz i love em' so)

Mmm, lets say you play a pub game, and everyone chooses their favourite hero, and the matchups get really sucky like, no stunners...or the only stunner you had in your game left.

So, assuming you picked troll warlord and with no stunners in your team, would you bother to go basher build or just play as it is? My item build for troll is usually: mjollnir and buriza(if i manage to get it before lv20, if not replace with HoT), and if need be i'd get a butterfly mostly for the 25% evasion incase anything gets sticky.

However when there are no stunners, i'd get my butterfly, power threads and 2 bashers... Ok, its not so bad because with rampage its scary. The stunning is really good but the dmg output is really lacking.

So, i just want some feedback... Would you be willing to sacrifice your raw dmg output for stun just because your team has no that is willing to go stun/not as efficient as you or just go like "**** team i wunna play my game my way".

They both balance out imo, but just wondering which would be a better option @_@

*this is assuming your team are actually TEAM players and not leroy jenkins-type soloers.

**The thing about troll warlords is because of the high IAS they have, their builds can be VERY versatile....So if anyone else have any other suggestions on alternative item builds, please do comment :D -sharing is gooood <3

Mmm, the first skill troll has is berserker's rage, where you get 10% chance at lv4 to do a 2SEC bash, but you have to go melee for it. Bashers on the other hand, if i get 2, i get 30% of 1sec bashes. as you can see it conflicts.

Note: when you make the basher, make the troll melee first, then go back to range, according to the dota mechanics at dota-allstars....Your stun % stays at 15. which is cheap for a range. I tested it out, 2bashers made me a pretty good stunner. i get like 1stun out of 3~4 shots...or either that i was damn lucky. x-x

Melee is not reccommended because of troll's type- being AGI. He doesnt have very nice HP. sure, HoT would complement him very much...but...ah well, i guess its debatable :P

I usually only use Berserker's Rage for running away <_<. the 20ms is pretty damn useful.

Basher is a goddamn waste of money...you pay 1360 for a stupid chance to stun...with his incredibly high IAS, you should go for stuff like mkb or slows like S-n-Y... IMO

but again, it's gonna be versatile, but my troll goes this way. Having permastun is like DoT, and troll can't really outlast an enemy so..more dps would be better.

Also, never underestimate blind. I used to.

lvl 1-2 5% nia, lvl 3-4 10%. But his bash is 2 sec.

item build actually depends on enemy heroes.

melee bashing troll is fun which goes for bash% and attack speed. But without basher, only 10% is too little, more like luck dependent.

Normally i choose melee bash troll when they are super late game heroes like naix, pa, rk with avatar or bkb, cant be disable for a period. rampage and bash them is a good way to counter. if they are also have basher, then i will try to get a butterfly.

If they have alot of int or agi, sometime i would prefer damage item and bkb. once clash go in bkb and start aiming all the low hp int heroes 1st.

But how you build is really up to u. I have seen a melee troll with difussal blade, attack from behind, rampage, purge and kill. Never try this myself though.

I've hardly seen any good trolls so far. my buriza build is for hard hitting only, and i feel its quite shallow, which is why i tried bashers, but they suck just as much...

Im exploring new builds atm...troll item builds are HARD ><

First of all. Bash doesnt stack directly. so 2 bashers doesnt give u 30%

And HoD to Satanic used to be good for troll when satanic gave damage but now just leave it at HoD. Then you go for Mkb butterfly bot.

Or u really have a good team to back you up. a tank/disable catcher etc. Go for deso. Item is seriously underrated.

I usually go deso..... But because i only play pub games, where everyone does their own shit, i dont have alot of use for it. its EXTREMELY good for farming tho... >_>

In the end i'll just be an ass and backdoor while the rest of my team are like, WTFTROLL our base is getting attacked and what are you doing?! (well no not really... But i just ninja their base with like 2~3creep waves.)

So in the end, when i fail, because the other team bot's back...I get scolded for being a noob, "you farmed for the game and you cant do anything, nub."

I get very pissed, because i get a deso, and i expect team battles, but NO, everyone just wants to be rambo and soloes.

then just go Mojojo basher dagger BoT and own any hero that stray from their pack.
