Blink Dagger. Need to have? Good to have or Nice to have?

Blink dagger.
A popular item among asian players.
A not so likeable item for me.

I notice that in almost every game i play, there is always someone with a blink dagger. When i ask him why he buy it, oh, my hero has no escape mechanism. K, good enough for a reason.

But sometimes i really feel disgusted when the whole team buys a blink dagger. Personally, i have come to a conclusion that whoever buys a blink dagger is a selfish coward. This is especially so in pub games. When you have a blink dagger, in a team fight, the one without a blink dagger (or any other form of escape mechanism will be targetted first). Its the same idea when one plays Qop, you hardly die not because you can blink away from death but because nobody bothers to attack you in the first place.

The only situation when you should buy blink dagger imo is when your skills greatly synergizes with the item. Eg, sand king, CM, Fuzzy, ES etc.It is a 'need' to have item. Buying a dagger, for the purpose of escaping, or ksing, is just not right but its 'nice' to have. Eg for zeus, THD etc.

Over-realiance on the item, may even deteriorate your personal skills. You will have a hard time improving in juking and fog-of-war tactics.

PRECISELY because the heroes got no escape mechanism that is why they are being targetted. ask urself one question who usually dish out the most damage in the fastest time, those intel heroes i would say except those str heores like sk or es. but usually it would be zeus, thd and such. therefore they need to spam as fast as they could then faster use a blink dagger to get out of the situation fast. and please DUN EVER EVER consider the fact of ks in team play. precisely those wif escape mechansim in their skills like qop could easily run and prevent being gank. that is why qop in singapore style of playing goes late game. imagine a zeus who could hurt qop wif so much damage. but run away wif little health. the zeus could actually blink and chase after qop has blink and bolt the qop one more time ( by then the bolt is already cooldown )

A blink dagger of Aoe hero is usefull,
Pros -
Can engage easier (Can cast epic or blackhole before the enermies run off.)
Can escape

Cons -
cost 2150gold =X

This is a strategy or. Same withthe whole team buying BKBs. Blink is useful. Super useful, never ever look down on a dagger!

I believe in higher level of play,players buy dagger only because it synergise with their skills(Epic,Blackhole,Ravage..etc)
Some player using kotl or heroes with insane slow ms or low life then should consider dagger.
Otherwise,in game with better teamwork, dagger is overrated imo

However in pub,getting a dagger is an very popular stratgy.
Getting a dagger mean you can farm ffs and no one will bother to gank you if you bother to get teleporting scoll.Of course,all at the sake of sacrificing your teammates.

Never underestimate a blink dagger on heros. It gives u a suprise element. Gives u the opporunity to chase enemys and backstab them. U just suddenly appear and bolt or breath them,they will be like zomgwthbbq? where did he come from?

My point is, most people take blink dagger as a first item.
Is it wise?
If your team is not doing well, you will have a hard time to farm for a straight 2150 gold w/o dying. So what other choices do you have?
Boots? Bracers?
They are better imo.

Unless you are playing against noobs, getting a dagger easily isnt much of an issue.

okay first of all. different country, different playstyle. we singaporeans love to focus on ganking so as we could stop their late gamer from farming those very good items and same time allow OUR late gamer farm till its late game items. so blink dagger as a first item on many heroes such as THD could go around catching. imagine blink ice path dual breath and ur team mates stun etc. all these.

When support heros get blink daggers, they will be able to escape more and wont feed as much so 2150 in exchange for feeding is worth to have.

I am super not used to using active items, like DoE and BKB. Have to get used to using numlock too.
But overall, I think DoE is a super useful item. Lots of ways to use it.

Doesn't apply to furion's teleport and Requirem of souls. This is why I can anyhow spam my furion's tele to create ripples but never teles in the end, I just cast and stop cast and stop.. SF's ulti and furions tele until properly casted is never counted as casted.

WHY CANT ZEUS THD DAGGER? zeus chain bolt chain chase abit bolt cd BLINK chain bolt chain how pain? + ulti = 1k + dmg u see a sk at lvl 7 u go do it la. + bolt can see invis units for like.. 3 sec or 2sec so u think la why no gd?
