What have the DotA community done to them to generate such a respond by them about DotA?

Whoever elgoog is, grow up. You aren't even putting up a credible rebuttle in the GXL forums. IZECUBEZ is a friend of BF.Nut and so am I. At least show some respect to one of the highest accomplishing teams in Singapore before you go bashing it, kid.

It's not like people here don't bash other games like Maplestory and such. And from BF.Nut's post on the event at E2Max, it has in no way insulted DotA gamers or DotA itself. Learn to read, before you speak. And when you do, at least understand the contents of it.

I believe it is common knowledge that the average maturity of the DotA players in Singapore is below average. And I said average, I did not mean everyone. One classic example would be certain people from certain established team from DotA calling others NERDs just because they're not playing as well as them. Or those that lose a game and become unhappy, then they will go, 5v5 sidebet my team la! Not to forget the best part, the Operaters of the dota channels would then ban and kick you.

Your actions in your own game reflects on how people would judge your community. DotA being a widely played game in Singapore, naturally would have BFers playing it as well. And they arent spared of the shameless and immaturity put up by certain veterans in-game. This is where you shame your own community and cry/whine when people come bashing your community(in this case, they didn't even do it). So say, why get so defensive?

These clans out there, FPS especially, have been around since online gaming started in Singapore. Some already hitting a history of 10 years. Show some respect, and people would do so as well.

Putting up an article about the E2Max event and spicing it up with not-so-aggressive but mocking words is just norm.

Since you guys like mocking your own fellow DotA community players, now it's time to have a taste of your own medicine?

You ought not to take the words out of the context of the whole passage. It drives towards a totally different meaning if you just highlight and bold the "aggressive" words. Humour, is the key.

Take a third party who's been in the gaming scene and has been reading enough of such articles and he would be able to judge and tell you, no it does not insult the game, nor the players.

It indeed is an achievement. For BF community to come up tops on that event, why isn't it an achievement. It is a competitive world, live with it. By the way, I quoted examples which you should try reading again. DotA channels on IRC claiming to build a better community without leavers blah blah. I believe the owners of these channels including the operators ought to have a certain level of maturity than to insult, flame, kick and ban fellow DotA players. If people that CLAIM to build a better community cannot put up an example, I don't see why what I said wasn't justified. I said average IQ of the community, meaning if 200 of 2000 people were retarded, the average would have been lowered. So how is that raining insults on everyone? Alright, I'm sorry that I was too quick to jump to accusations. I didn't get the entire picture and I based my comment on previous forumer's comments, some of which, were groundless and untrue. Therefore, I am deeply apologetic for jumping to baseless conclusions about BFNut and the BF community. Btw, I love BF too, played BF2 a while back, and loved it. :)
