To make things clear first, DotA community did not declare war on BF. Why in the world would we do that? Not as if like got prize money or we will get a cyber cafe to ourselves to party in. Sorry for the lame joke, do read on.
There is clearly no direct mention or indication that "DOTA declares war on BF" according to what ilikemybiggun of BFnut mentioned. Unless they are referring any of the public's reaction in DotaSG forums or some other forums. But everyone knows that those clearly does not reflect or represent the general DotA community. Also previous article is about what BFnut have said and not referring to the BF community.
It's clear on who is the fire starter now? (hint:someone who directly mention the four magical letters, D - O - T- A) Wise man says, without wind/fuel there will be no fire.
BFnut official website's latest posting strongly hinted that they, or at least their article poster do maybe have/has a deep hate for DotA. It was mention they do not hate DotA players, but their words are not too convincing. It is like trying to shake your hand for peace and then kick you in your groin..ouch..hahaa. Ok, joke aside..wanna know what I mean, scroll down and read what they have posted.
Question for all of you who visit this humble little website, is that how a top team/clan behaves? What kind of example would they set?
In history, there has never been any major BM like this before by anyone representing the DotA community directed at any other game. We play out games/tournaments and are happy with what we have. We never boast about how many tournaments organised and $$$ to be won out there. When our game is dropped or is not in any particular event, we never complain or be sore loser about it not being put into the event.
Here is some bonus, someone posted in GXL forums this "DoTA is passe. The decision made by GXL to drop it is evident. Please, move on." Not hard to find where this guy belongs/related to.
Someone brought the above funny statement to my attention, and it never tails to make me laugh everytime I read it.
Conclusion is that we better not expect any apology. Life goes on, world is not ending anyway yet. Make Love not War!!.
Following are the latest posting from BFnut official site,
"WWIII Arrives Early, DOTA declares war on BF
Warm your mice and dust off your keyboards! The horns of war has sounded and DotA has declared war on the battlefield community!
Beware the DotA horde and their treacherous ways! Do not look a DotA player in the eye when engaging one, as their long gazes trained from hours of clicking endlessly in silence without blinking can turn j00 instantly into stone! Their expressionless faces hide sinister plans to bore j00 into submission!
/lol
It seems like some in the DotA community has taken heart to some groin kicking comments from the previous news post. But seriously BF.Nut don't hate no DotA player nor /spit on them ;p. We don't really have the right to do so as we get pwned big time when it comes to DotA.
About being left out of GXL, we feel you pain too as fellow gamers - it happened to us before last season. Perhaps....someday...we could (definately maybe) come up with some huge DotA and BF mass orgy to exchange some pointers.
You can check em 'do i smell DotA haters' flamewar here (free hits for j00 dotasg!)."
